JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS – 24.08.2024
Greenway Modern School organized a special assembly to celebrate Janmashtami on 24th August 2024, bringing together students from all wings to participate in the program. The event featured a vibrant dance performance depicting 'Krishna Leela,' which beautifully showcased various joyous moments from Krishna's life. The audience was captivated by the graceful movements and expressions of the dancers. Additionally, the choir group performed melodious Krishna bhajans that filled the school with a holy atmosphere. The assembly also included a brief talk on the significance of Janmashtami, highlighting its cultural and spiritual importance. Rakhi Celebrations at Greenway Modern School: A Joyful Display of Sharing and Caring*

On August 16th, 2024, Greenway Modern School celebrated the festive occasion of Rakhi with great enthusiasm and dedication. The school organized a unique and heartwarming event, where students from classes 9th to 12th came together to tie Rakhis for students from the NGO PANAM. Along with the Rakhis, the students were also gifted packets of eatables, showcasing the true spirit of sharing and caring.

The celebration was a culmination of various activities, including:

- Rakhi-making workshops
- Presentations on the history and significance of Rakhi celebrations
- Poster and slogan creation
- Essay writing competitions
- A cooking competition without fire, highlighting the students' culinary skills

The students' enthusiasm and dedication were evident throughout the event, making it a memorable experience for all involved. The Principal of the school praised the efforts of both teachers and students for celebrating Rakhi in such a unique and meaningful way.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS – 15.08.2024
On 14th August 2024, the 78th Independence Day Celebrations were held at Greenway Modern School. The students welcomed the Principal of the school, Staff & gathering. The programme began with

-The Principal hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem marking the beginning of the celebration. This symbolic act represented the school's commitment to national pride and unity. The school's principal addressed the gathering mentioning the sacrifices of our great leaders and advised that everything can be attained with sincerity, dedication & hard work. Students of the Primary, Middle & Senior wing sang patriotic songs, filling the atmosphere with enthusiasm and love for the country. The songs expressed devotion and loyalty to one's nation. Apart from singing the Patriotic Song, the students presented a skit & dance which symbolized the respect and honour of our great leaders who sacrificed their lives for our country's Independence. The Programme Ended with appreciation by the Principal Sir to the students, and teachers who presented such a beautiful programme on the Eve of the 78th Independence Day. There were many class activities which were performed by the students like

- *Flag-making Competition*: Students showcased their creativity by designing and making flags. This activity encouraged teamwork, artistic skills, and a deeper understanding of the flag's significance.

- *Essay Writing*: Students expressed their thoughts and feelings about the nation, its history, and its values through essays. This activity helps develop writing skills, critical thinking, and patriotism.

- *Debate*: Students were engaged in debates, discussing nationalism, patriotism, and the country's development. Debates fostered critical thinking, public speaking skills, and informed opinions.

- *Selfie Campaign*: As per the circular of CBSE & DOE Students posted selfies with the National Flag on the Har Ghar Tiranga website, receiving certificates in return. These activities encouraged students to share their patriotic spirit and become part of a nationwide movement, inspiring, students to develop a deeper connection with their nation and its values. On July 29th, our students embarked on an exciting journey to mark International Tiger Day, a global observance dedicated to raising awareness about the majestic tiger and its plight.
With enthusiasm and creativity, students brought tigers to life through:

- Informative projects and posters, highlighting fascinating facts about tigers

HINDUSTAN TIMES PACE LITFEST – JULY 24, 2024

On July 24, 2024, the HT PACE Litfest, in collaboration with Ahlcon International School, held an inter-school storytelling session. The event took place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and featured Ms. Swetcha Pershad, a renowned storyteller, as the guest speaker. Two students from classes 3 to 5, along with one teacher from each participating school, were cordially invited to attend this enriching event. The session began with a warm welcome by the organizers, who highlighted the importance of storytelling in fostering creativity and imagination among young students. The event opened with a delightful act performed by a group of 5th-grade students, that showcased different genres of storytelling, including mystery, fantasy, adventure, and humor. This performance set the tone for an engaging and educational session. Following the performance, the principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, and vice principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, shared their valuable insights about the art of storytelling. They emphasized how storytelling can be a powerful tool for education, helping to develop critical thinking, creativity, and empathy in students. Their remarks highlighted the session's importance and relevance, inspiring both students and teachers.

Ms. Swetcha Pershad then took the stage and captivated the audience with her engaging storytelling techniques. Her stories were filled with vivid descriptions, dynamic characters, and valuable life lessons, which left the young listeners spellbound. In addition to her storytelling, Ms. Pershad incorporated several interactive games that delighted the students. One of the games involved the Chinese whispers game. This activity not only sparked creativity but also encouraged teamwork and active listening.

To conclude the session, a quiz test was given to the students. The quiz focused on popular stories, characters, and themes. This activity not only tested the students' comprehension and retention but also added an element of excitement and competition. The students eagerly participated, showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the organizers, expressing their gratitude to Ms. Pershad for her inspiring session and to all the participants for their active involvement. The storytelling session, combined with the fun and educational games, the quiz test, the introductory act by the 5th-grade students, and the insightful remarks from the principal and vice principal, was not only entertaining but also educational, as it encouraged students to explore the world of stories and embrace the joy of reading and storytelling. Overall, the HT PACE LitFest's inter-school storytelling session was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and reinforcing the significance of storytelling in education.

*KARGIL DIWAS: A TRIBUTE TO COURAGE AND SACRIFICE*
On 26th July our students and teachers came together to observe Kargil Diwas, a day of remembrance and tribute to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives defending our nation during the Kargil War in 1999.

Students paid homage to the fallen heroes through a solemn ceremony, acknowledging the ultimate sacrifice they made for our country's sovereignty and integrity. Teachers conducted an informative session, enlightening students about the significance of Kargil Diwas, the events leading up to the war, and the heroic tales of courage and valor displayed by our soldiers. The session aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and respect for the armed forces among our young minds

Through this observance, we honored the memory of our brave soldiers who fought fearlessly to protect our nation. May their sacrifice continue to inspire us to strive for excellence and work towards a stronger, more united India.

*VECTOR BORNE DISEASES AWARENESS CAMPAIGN*
Our science teachers recently led an informative session on vector-borne diseases, educating students about the different categories of these diseases and their severe consequences. Students created eye-catching posters and thought-provoking slogans to spread awareness and reinforce their learning. They explained various categories, and consequences of Vector-Borne Diseases in a very detailed way

This awareness campaign aims to educate and empower students, teachers, and the community to take preventive measures against vector-borne diseases. By working together, we can reduce the risk of these diseases and create a healthier environment for all.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY – 21.06.2024

'Why Yoga IS Important ' - Going through the word gives me a sense of joy, enthusiasm, and calmness. Yoga has been derived from the Sanskrit word "YUJ" which means unification of the individual soul with the Supreme soul. Yoga not only allows us to get United to the Supreme but also provides us with the platform to enhance our posture, leading us to a healthy and long life. It connects us with our culture. But in real are we performing Yoga? The answer can be both yes or no. But if it is not then why are we not? We should ask ourselves the question of why? We can still start it as we are getting an opportunity in the form of a day which is International Yoga Day on 21st June. In this fast-running life people are getting into depression, they are getting anxiety attacks. Can we do something about it without taking any medications, the answer is yes. It is Yoga which acts as a regulator for our body it regulates our body functions, muscles and bones, and mind; basically, it helps us in wholesome development. So let's pledge on this Yoga day to give something positive to our body that is, the habit of performing Yoga.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, which is celebrated on 21st June every year our school organized a series of events and activities to promote the practice and importance of yoga among students. Activities by Classes:

Classes 1 & 2: Students practiced Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Sukhasana (Easy Pose).

Classes 3 & 4: Engaged in Padmasana (Lotus Pose) and Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose).

Classes 5 & 6: Participated in Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Parvatasana (Mountain Pose).

Classes 7 & 8: Demonstrated Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) and Vakrasana (Half Spinal Twist).

Classes 9 & 10: Practiced Sukhasana (Easy Pose) and Naukasana (Boat Pose).

Classes 11 & 12: Wrote essays on the importance of yoga and performed advanced asanas such as Halasana (Plow Pose) and Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose).

Students enthusiastically practiced these yoga asanas both at home and school under the guidance of our dedicated physical education teachers. Several students also demonstrated their skills by performing these asanas during the celebrations

The Principal of our school commended the efforts put forth by both students and teachers in organizing and participating in the Yoga Day celebrations. He emphasized the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being and encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. CliATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION – 16-06-2024
Father's Day celebration at our school was a heartwarming event filled with joy, laughter, and abundant love. Students from various classes showcased their creativity and appreciation for their fathers through personalized gifts.

Students from classes 1, 2, and 3 crafted beautiful photo cards, each uniquely designed to express their love and gratitude. Classes 4 and 5 demonstrated their artistic skills by making colorful keychains using beads, which were both practical and sentimental. The older students took their projects to the next level. Classes 6, 7, and 8 created decorative photo frames, perfect for capturing cherished memories. Meanwhile, students in classes 9 and 10 put together memory jars filled with heartfelt notes of appreciation and fond memories, offering a touching tribute to their fathers. The senior students from classes 11 and 12 compiled photo collages, highlighting memorable moments spent with their fathers, creating a visual journey of love and togetherness.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 05.06.2024
CELEBRATE NATURE, CELEBRATE LIFE!

In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th, our school organized activities under the theme "Restoring the Biosphere" to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. Class 1 enjoyed story time with environmental themes, while Class 2 and 3 took guided nature walks with parents, learning about local flora and fauna. Class 4 created art using old leaves and flowers, documenting species details. Class 5 made eco-friendly art projects from recycled materials. Class 6 planted and cared for saplings, documenting their growth. Class 7 educated house helpers or guards on environmental conservation. Class 8 maintained personal nature journals, and Class 9 made natural cleaning products. Class 10 created documentaries on sustainable living, Class 11 wrote motivational speeches, and Class 12 penned articles on the role of education in environmental awareness. MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION - SENIOR WING 12.05.2024

Mother's Day, celebrated on the 12th of May, is a cherished occasion to honor the amazing women who play a pivotal role in our lives. In anticipation of this special day, we encouraged our students to make their mothers feel special by giving cards, cooking food, or finding other thoughtful ways to show their appreciation. At Greenway Modern School, we held a vibrant celebration on Wednesday, 15th May 2024, during the zero period, with a series of activities that allowed students to express their love and gratitude creatively. Here’s a glimpse of the wonderful activities each class participated in:

Class 1 & 2: Students made delightful Mother's Day Crowns and wrote heartfelt messages for their mothers.

Class 3: Students created 'Thank You' cards on A3 sheets, beautifully expressing their gratitude.

Class 4 & 5: Students wrote touching letters to their mothers, sharing their feelings on colored sheets and decorating them with care.

Class 6: Students composed messages titled "MY MOTHER MY HERO," celebrating the heroic qualities of their mothers.

Class 7 & 8: Students brought passport-sized photos of their mothers and used them to draw portraits on A3-sized sheets, showcasing their artistic talents.

Class 9: There was a Poster Making competition on the theme "MY MOTHER MY LIFE," allowing students to artistically convey the significance of their mothers in their lives.

Class 10: Students made handmade gifts for their mothers using various materials like paper, cloth, and ribbons, demonstrating their creativity and appreciation.

Class 11 & 12: Students delivered 1-minute speeches in class about how their mothers are the greatest inspiration in their lives, sharing heartfelt stories and reflections. The event was a heartfelt tribute to all mothers, and the creativity and sincerity of the students were truly inspiring. We are proud of our students for making this Mother’s Day a memorable and meaningful celebration.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY – 03.05.2024

At Greenway Modern School we celebrated the vibrant tapestry of cultures through the universal language of dance! On May 3rd, we hosted an event to commemorate International Dance Day, where students showcased their talents in a dazzling array of dance forms from around the globe.

Primary Wing Performances:

The festivities kicked off with enchanting performances by the Primary Wing, where young talents mesmerized the audience with graceful movements and cultural richness. From the elegant charm of Chinese and Russian dances to the rhythmic beats of Sri Lankan and Kathak performances, each act was a testament to the beauty of diversity.

Middle Wing Showcases:

As the event progressed, the Middle Wing took centre stage, captivating the audience with a dynamic fusion of traditional and contemporary dance forms. From the enchanting grace of Bharatnatyam and Manipuri to the infectious energy of Jazz and Hip Hop, each performance was a celebration of creativity and passion.

Senior Wing Performances:

Adding to the spectacle, the Senior Wing graced the stage with captivating performances that showcased their mastery of diverse dance forms. With the mesmerizing grace of Kathak, the energetic flair of Lavni, and the fiery passion of Spanish Flamenco, each performance transported the audience to different corners of the world, highlighting the depth and richness of cultural expression. Adding to the international flavor, the Senior Wing also delighted the audience with the spirited charm of Italian Tarantella. With its infectious rhythm and lively steps, the Tarantella brought a touch of Italian flamboyance to the celebration, further enriching the cultural mosaic of the event.

Through the art of dance, students at Greenway Modern School showcased not only their talent but also the school's commitment to embracing diversity and fostering cultural understanding. International Dance Day served as a platform to promote unity, harmony, and mutual respect among students from different backgrounds. AWARENESS-SESSION 23RD APRIL 2024 BY PROCTER & GAMBLE
An awareness session has been organized by Procter & Gamble for classes 5th& 6th girls at Greenway Modern School on 23rd April 2024 to make them aware of the physical changes in girls' bodies. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION – 22.04.2024

On April 22nd, Greenway Modern School commemorated Earth Day with a series of engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about environmental conservation and promoting sustainable practices. The day was filled with enthusiasm as students from various classes participated in activities tailored to their age groups, fostering a sense of responsibility towards our planet.

Activities for Classes 1 to 5:
Students in classes 1 to 5 donned green caps adorned with the emblem “SAVE EARTH” to signify their commitment to environmental protection. They engaged in activities such as creating eco-friendly salad platters or jars, where they learned about the benefits of each ingredient, green gifting through handmade eco-friendly gifts, and the exchange of saplings.

Activities for Classes 6 to 8:
Students embraced the theme of “GO GREEN SAVE THE PLANET” by adorning themselves with the designated logo. Their activities included crafting bowls from magazines or newspapers, decorating reusable bags made from eco-friendly fabrics, and transforming trash into beautiful flower art, promoting the concept of upcycling.

Activities for Classes 9 and 10:
Students showcased their creativity by making upcycled jewelry using materials like bottle caps, beads, or old fabric, emphasizing the importance of repurposing items. Additionally, they engaged in the creation of hanging gardens, adding a touch of greenery to their surroundings.

Activities for Classes 11 and 12:
Students participated in an inter-class competition to demonstrate their commitment to environmental conservation. Class 11 students crafted slogans on “SAVE ENERGY” in A3 size, while class 12 students created posters advocating for the protection of our planet under the theme “SAVE EARTH.” The best three slogans and posters were awarded certificates, recognizing their efforts in promoting environmental awareness.

NATIONAL SCHOOL OF DRAMA - AN EYE OPENER PLAY 14.04.2024

“Eye opener play”

A Group of Greenway students went to the National School of Drama to watch a "show on 14th April.
The expectations of a Clown Show were previously unclear, but the students found a new respect for the art form from this fanciful, erratic performance. The modern perception of clowns is strongly associated with "Circus Clowns", but the jesters have taken too many forms throughout history. The Art form has modified itself over centuries and existed uniquely in many cultures. At the top of the Clown Show, each Clown introduced themselves with a small routine and themes like Healthy Life Style, Confidence, Motivation towards academic and non-academic, Respect our body, and Positive Parenting Tips.

The rhythmic beats of Baisakhi filled the air as our talented students from Classes I & II showcased their vibrant dance performances, celebrating the spirit of this joyous festival. THE WORLD HEALTH DAY - 07.04.2024

Greenway Modern School believes in nurturing not only the minds but also the bodies of our students. In commemoration of Health Day, students from the primary, middle, and senior wings enthusiastically participated in a range of activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyles. Our youngest learners of classes 1 and 2 kicked off the day by having a healthy breakfast related to Millet, class 3,4, and 5, brought half-cooked sweets related to millet, and garnished them in the school. These activities were designed to instill the importance of health and fitness from an early age. The middle-wing students embraced the spirit of Health Day by making millet charts and giving presentations on millets. Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, students gained valuable insights into maintaining a balanced lifestyle amidst their academic pursuits. In the senior wing, students showcased their commitment to health and wellness through a series of dynamic activities, cooking without fire for classes 9 and 10 and poster making and slogan writing for class 12. ORIENTATION FOR CLASSES 1ST TO 5TH FOR THE SESSION 2024 – 2025 1.4.2024

Greenway Modern School had the pleasure of hosting an orientation session for Classes 1 to 5, held on 1st April 2024. The event was designed to provide parents and guardians with valuable information about examination patterns, extracurricular activities, and important policies. The agenda for the orientation program was the New Education Policy under NCF, examination pattern, introducing changes in examination pattern, and the detention policy. During the orientation, parents and guardians had the opportunity to meet with our dedicated faculty members who shared insights into our curriculum and academic expectations. They also learned about our commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Additionally, attendees were briefed on the various extracurricular activities and enrichment programs available at our school, aimed at fostering holistic development and nurturing students’ talents and interests beyond the classroom. Our administrators addressed any queries or concerns raised by the parents, ensuring transparency and clear communication regarding school policies, procedures, and upcoming events. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES - 03.12.2023
"Awareness on International Day of Persons with Disabilities" Nukkad Natak Event
Date: December 03, 2023, At Greenway Modern School (Dilshad Garden), on December 3rd, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was marked with a Nukkad Natak (street play) event. Students from classes 4th to 8th actively participated, spreading awareness of disability issues and breaking stereotypes. The event aimed to instill empathy and understanding from an early age, fostering inclusivity. The highlight was the Nukkad Natak, where students delivered powerful messages about inclusivity and understanding challenges faced by persons with disabilities. The event served as a platform for creative expression, sensitizing students to disability challenges and promoting a culture of empathy and inclusion within the school community. Such initiatives contribute to creating a more inclusive and understanding society.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION – 2024
Republic Day, a day of national rejoicing, was celebrated with pomp show, and spirit in Greenway School Dilshad Garden. The day was celebrated with great zeal. The celebration started with flag hoisting, followed by mesmerizing performances by students including dances, singing, and instrumental music. The celebration was transcended to another dimension by our coordinator Ms Anuja Jaitley’s speech which served as an encouragement by expressing gratitude and thanking everyone making the auspicious occasion a memorable one. Further, to mark the importance of this day, a small cultural program was organized on the school premises which included dance, music, and speech by the students. Listening to patriotic songs by our choir group triggered in the children and teachers alike, many emotions; pride, love, and respect for the country. On the vibrant morning of December 30, 2023, Greenway Modern School in Dilshad Garden transformed into a cultural kaleidoscope with the unveiling of its Tourism and Cultural Heritage Club exhibition, aptly named Heritage Odyssey. The event was a testament to the rich tapestry of global heritage and cultural marvels.
With an air of enthusiasm and creativity, students showcased their ardor for history, art, and architectural marvels through an array of meticulously crafted models representing diverse heritage sites, iconic monuments, and revered places of worship and showcased their craftsmanship through the creation of innovative travel gears. Each exhibit was a labor of love, a testament to the students' dedication and appreciation for cultural heritage. The exhibition also featured an array of paintings that celebrated traditional art forms such as Warli, Mandala, Madhubani, and more. These intricately designed artworks served as captivating glimpses into the vibrant artistic traditions embedded in various cultures across the world. PICNIC AT RANGMANCH FARMS: EMBARKING ON A DAY FULL OF ADVENTURE
Greenway Modern School organized a picnic at Rangmanch farms for classes 1 - 12. Rangmanch Farm offers a spectacular experience with over 80 thrilling activities, ensuring an adventure for every taste. The excitement buzzed through the air as the school buses rolled up to the gates of Rangmanch Farms, promising a day filled with adventure and thrill. The atmosphere crackled with energy as the students gathered for a quick orientation, setting the tone for a day brimming with adrenaline-pumping rides and shared moments of joy. Students dashed off in different directions, fueled by enthusiasm to explore and dive into the ocean of activities. Some students were engrossed in rides, while others tried their hand at pottery-making or relishing the thrill of zip-lining across the verdant landscape. As midday arrived, the students were served with a vast variety of dishes boasting an amazing array of flavors. The sun began to set and the day drew to a close as the farm's lights sparkled against the evening sky. Tired yet elated, students gathered for a final rendezvous, reliving their favorite moments. With hearts full of memories and an atmosphere filled with joy, students boarded the buses, bidding farewell to a delightful day at the Rangmanch farm. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION - 2023
Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm. The atmosphere was filled with joy and festive spirit. The anchoring was lively with enthusiastic students guiding the entrance through various activities. The Christmas carol performance brought a melodic charm to the celebration with its echoing classic tunes that resonated with the holiday season. It not only showcased the musical talents of the students but also marked the arrival of the holiday season with a melodious celebration. Vibrant dance performances by senior wing girls added a dynamic touch, showcasing the student’s creativity and festive energy. Students adorned in festive attire moved gracefully with the rhythm of cheerful holiday tunes. The nativity scene during Christmas was an excellent portrayal of the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. Students adorned in costumes representing biblical characters brought the narrative to life. Then respected Mrs. Anuja and Mrs. Jaishree ma'am shared their sentiments of compassion, gratitude, and joy. Morale and excitement of every student got a boost as the sound of jingling bells echoed throughout the assembly and with a hearty "Ho Ho Ho", Santa made a grand entrance in their iconic red suit. DYSLEXIA AWARENESS - 30.10.2023

On 30th October 2023 the program on “Awareness of Dyslexia” was conducted by the school's Special Educator, to create an inclusive environment and develop understanding among the various stakeholders at the school level towards persons with dyslexia. All the students of classes 4th and 6 were present in the program and participated extensively. The children were sensitized about the symptoms and the particulars associated with dyslexia and how it can affect an individual’s life. Through the presentation, it was also communicated how we together as students and teachers can help them and make them feel valued since it can impact their overall mental health. So it's essential to observe and know about such issues if we want them to feel valued and appreciated, and the misconceptions around dyslexia can be stamped out. The next day, a poster-making competition was organized by the school to create more awareness about dyslexia. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts of the students and the Special Educator of the school for taking the initiative to create awareness among other students. National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, is a significant day in India, celebrated on October 31st, in honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. In *Greenway Modern School*, The celebration commenced with an enlightening speech by Dakshitta Mathur, the English Club Secretary, who spoke about Sardar Patel's life, his role in the unification of India, and his commitment to national integration, emphasizing the significance of preserving the unity of our diverse nation. Following the informative presentation, all students and staff members took an oath to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and communal harmony in our country. This pledge served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to contribute to a stronger and more united India. A "Unity Run" was organized, where students from different grades participated to promote the ideals of unity and integration. This event not only encouraged physical fitness but also conveyed the message that a healthy nation stands on the pillars of unity. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the celebration was the involvement of primary wing students. Victory of Virtue: Dussehra Celebration! The Dussehra festival was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Greenway Modern School on 21st October 2023, Saturday, and the event was a resounding success. The school organized a special assembly to mark the occasion, which featured a range of performances and activities. The event commenced with an opening dance performed by the junior students. Their energetic and lively performance set the tone for the entire celebration, and it was a delightful start to the program. The enthusiasm of the young dancers was infectious, and the audience was captivated. The highlight of the event was the presentation of Ramlila, which was showcased in a remarkably crisp and engaging manner. The students put on a fantastic performance, depicting the epic tale of Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana. The precision and dedication with which this part of the celebration was executed left the audience spellbound. In addition to the Ramlila, the senior students also staged a thought-provoking play. DAAN UTSAV - SDG CAMPAIGN - 7.10.2023
As a part of the ‘Zero Hunger’ SDG campaign, our school decided to celebrate ‘Daan Utsav’ in collaboration with BHUMI (NGO) & BIG BASKET on 7th October 2023 for classes III, IV & V. All students participated in this campaign by donating half a kilogram of Rice. This contribution was donated to NANEPAKSHI & PANAM NGO Through this campaign we tried to instill the feeling of ‘Sharing and caring’ in our little minds & also to bring smiles to the faces of the underprivileged. WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY ACTIVITY - 10.10.2023
World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10th October.
It is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme “Mental health is a universal human right”. To raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect students' mental health, 16 student Counselors from classes XI and XII conducted an effective and engaging Life skills workshop for Class 4th and 5th students. The workshop was designed to identify and validate the social and emotional needs of students. Some activities done during the workshop were “Emotions in the Jar”, and “Butterfly Feeling in the stomach”. POEM RECITATION COMPETITION CLASS 1

The little stars of Class 1 of Greenway Modern School shone brightly as they took center stage for the much-anticipated Poem Recitation Competition. It was a heartwarming and delightful event that showcased the budding talents of our youngest poets. The competition, organized with the aim of nurturing the love for literature and oratory skills among the youngest students, was a resounding success. The tiny tots, dressed in their best, stepped up to the podium with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to recite their chosen poems. The innocence and charm in their voices left the audience in awe. The colorful props and costumes added to the visual appeal, making it a treat for everyone present. As the competition progressed, each child recited their poem with grace, clarity, and an admirable level of comfort. The diversity of poems chosen showcased the varied tastes and interests of our young poets.

The judging panel, consisting of our dedicated in charge Ms. Anuja Jetly (Sr academic coordinator) and Ms Jaishree (Activity Incharge), had a tough task at hand, as every participant brought their unique flair to the stage. They evaluated the children on their overall presentation.

Greenwanians held a power puffed program to show their love & gratitude towards their teachers. RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION - SENIOR 29.08.2023

RAKSHABANDHAN 2023 GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL(held on 29th August 2023)

Raksha Bandhan is a time to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. The festival Raksha Bandhan, meaning "The Bond of Protection", is an auspicious occasion that involves the sister tying the sacred thread on her brother's wrist.
To strengthen this bond of eternal love, Greenway Modern School conducted different activities:
For classes 1& 2 girls brought Rakhis & boys brought a gift. The girls tied rakhis & boys gave gifts to them
Class 3 students brought Rakhis for the soldiers who protect our country. whereas classes 4&5 made thank you cards. Classes 6 to 8 made Rakhi's washes with biodegradable material whereas 9& 10 classes cooked without fire.. class 11& 12 wrote lovely messages for soldiers.
Sweets are a trademark of joy, happiness, and love but most importantly a token of gratitude to fellow beings. "Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye" was an inter-house competition in which students made sweet delicacies to celebrate this delightful occasion. Mrs . Anuradha a renowned baker judged their cuisines on the basis of taste, presentation, and nutrition.
Both the senior and middle wing participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. The best part of Rakhi Celebrations this year was the sending of Rakhus & messages to the soldiers who protect our country with their selfless services. The principal of the school Mr. Mohit Sachdeva also appreciated the students and teachers for their diligent hard work and dedication.

SDG ACTIVITY (SHARING & CARING)

SDG Goal 2: Zero Hunger: Greenwanians aim to end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular, the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food all year round by 2030. Under the guidance of our honorable Principal, ‘Mr. Mohit Sachdeva’, the school organized the event in collaboration with an NGO ‘Nane Pakshi’. As a part of the SDG Activity for this month, the students donated packed food items ( biscuits, chips, cookies, dry cakes, chocolates, etc.) to the underprivileged. This activity was planned for class 1 & 2 students. It is rightly said, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” Children brought packed food items and donated those items to children of an NGO ‘Nane Pakshi’ This inculcated the feeling of ‘sharing & caring’ in our students. 14TH AUGUST - PARTITION HORROR REMEMBER DAYS
14th August “Partition Horror Remember Days” The day of remembrance known as Division Horrors Remembrance Day, which falls on August 14th, was first proclaimed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021 and honors those who perished and endured pain during India’s partition. On this day, many Indians who suffered during the Partition are remembered. Numerous families were uprooted, and many people perished in the partition. In order to further enhance the spirit of unity, social peace, and personal empowerment, it is intended to serve as a reminder to Indians of the need to eliminate societal differences and discord. Two hundred thousand to two million people had died and 10 to 20 million had been displaced as a result of the split. Greenway Modern School likewise took the initiative to remember people who suffered during India’s partition in commemoration of the same. To commemorate Division Horrors Remembrance Day, a wall exhibition was set up in school. The entire staff, both Teaching and non-teaching, were present to grace the program. COMMEMORATING FREEDOM On 14th August 2023, Greenway Modern School conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Independence Day. The assembly was organized by Love House. The school's 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event aimed to commemorate the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, reflect on our nation's journey, and inspire a sense of unity and patriotism among the students. The assembly began with the dignified flag-hoisting ceremony. The tricolor national flag was unfurled by the school in charge, Ms. Anuja Jaitly, while the school band played the national anthem. The sight of the fluttering flag evoked a deep sense of pride and respect among all attendees. The cultural extravaganza commenced with a series of performances showcasing India's history through a Dance Drama. Students from different grades presented patriotic songs. A heartwarming tribute was paid to our freedom fighters through a theatrical performance. The portrayal of key figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, etc highlighted their contributions and sacrifices. The performance served as a reminder of the invaluable role they played in shaping our nation's destiny. India’s current achievements were also highlighted and displayed through a tableau. Not only the special assembly was conducted, but all the classes showed their patriotism and zeal by participating in different activities conducted class-wise like Slogan Writing, Tricolour Fan Making, etc. A vote of thanks was given by the Activity In charge of the school, Ms Jaishree who appreciated the efforts of the students as well as the teachers. An awareness session has been organized by Procter & Gamble for classes 5th& 6th girls at Greenway Modern School on 31st July 2023 to make them aware of the physical changes that take place in girls' bodies. The instructor explained the topic in a detailed manner with the help of real-life examples. She showed a detailed video on the 'menstrual cycle' in which important information was given. HARIYALI MAHOTSAV 6TH JULY 2023

To recognize the important role played by Forests or Greenery in bringing the ecological balance and providing several ecosystem services to the Earth, Hariyali Mahotsav was celebrated at Greenway School on 6th July with great enthusiasm as per the circular of DOE As we know trees are our life, Schools planted trees and shrubs so that future generations do not face any problems regarding the environment. CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY ( JUNE 21st 2023)

International Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world on June 21st across the globe. The theme for this year's International Yoga Day 2022 is To commemorate yoga day Greenway Modern School celebrated on 21st June 2023 & the following asana were done by the students at home & the NCC CADETS, Sports students participated enthusiastically in school & did ASANAS under the supervision of YOG Acharya Mr.Pradeep. NCC Caretaker Ms.Silky Sharma, HOD Physical Education Mr.Mukesh Sharma,& Activity Coordinator Ms.Jaishree Shreedharan were present. The students of classes 1 & 2 did Sukhasana & Vahrasana whereas the students of classes 3 to 5 performed butterfly poses & cat poses. The Middle wing & Senior Wing students did Tadasana, Vrikshasana, bhujang asasana, Paschimottan Assna & Sarvangassns. in which the students and teachers actively participated. The students depicted various Asanas through posters and videos. FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS - 18TH JUNE 2023

Father’s Day is celebrated across the world with the objective of realizing and honoring the contribution of Fathers to society. It is a day that celebrates fatherhood paternal bonds and the efforts of male parents towards their family and society. The students of Greenway Modern School showed their love and respect towards their father by doing the following activities. Classes 1& 2 made thank you cards also they made key chains with their father’s photo. Classes 3 to 5 made collages and also presented a dish without using fire. The middle wing showed their gratitude by writing letters for all that he has done, whereas the senior wing wrote an incident in the form of a paragraph which lead them to believe that he is their mentor & savior. CELEBRATIONS OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 05.06.2023
Greenway Modern School celebrated World Environment Day virtually with great fanfare on June 5th, 2023. The main purpose of the celebration was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it. The students planted saplings and took a pledge to save the environment. Classes 1 & 2 did a Scavenger Hunt, wherein the students went to the nearby Park & drew pictures of Flowers & Plants, and also wrote the names of the birds & animals they saw. Classes 3 to 5 grew plants with seed JARS and classes 6 to 8 made bird feeders, 9th & 10th class students created hanging gardens wherein 11& 12 class students created awareness from home for the usage of green & blue dustbins. SDG PROGRAMME - NEVER REFUSE TO REUSE -01.06.2023

Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden organized an event in the month of April and May under the SDG program for the students of grades 4 and 5 on the topic "Never Refuse to Reuse". Class 4 and 5 Greenwanians were pushed to think outside of their boundaries to make something best out of the waste under the guidance of their teachers and parents. Students were enthusiastic and took a keen interest in upcycling the house scrap to create models and artworks. These kinds of activities will set a new goal and will motivate the students to work smart in order to find a way to reach higher levels. THE ENGLISH EXPEDITION: A VOYAGE OF LEARNING - 29.05.2023

In today's ever-evolving and interconnected world, the proficiency in English language opens doors to countless opportunities, whether it be in education, career advancement, or international travel. It serves as a tool for personal and professional networking enabling individuals to build special relationships and collaborate with people from different parts of the world. To nurture linguistic abilities and cultivate English proficiency, *Greenway Modern School* Dilshad Garden, Delhi facilitates an English club for the students, wherein a multitude of enriching activities are conducted. In the first week of May, the primary wing was buzzing with excitement as English club activities took center stage. Class 3rd embarked on an engaging "Pick and tell" adventure where students shared fascinating facts about their chosen objects. Class 4th delved into the realm of "Story Narration with Puppets". Not to be outdone, class 5th unleashed their energy in a thrilling "Relay Game". In the middle wing, the English club kept the momentum going, class 6th embarked on the challenge of the "Memory Game", while class 7th embarked on an adventurous "Alphabet Game". The intriguing "Let's Pick a Letter" activity allowed class 7th students to explore parts of speech based on chosen letters. Meanwhile, class 8th students unleashed their creativity by crafting inspiring "Comic Strips" showcasing their thoughts on saving nature. Moving to the senior wing, class 9th had a "Weaving the Story" activity. Class 10th witnessed an enthusiastic "Newsroom Debate" and the "Knowledge Quest Activity" where students had to search and hunt for the incomplete part of the prompt given to them. Meanwhile, "My Window, My World" was observed in class 11th, wherein students expressed their views about the way one sees the world. Last but not least, class 12th engaged in an exciting activity "Hot Seat", reminiscent of the popular game dumb charades. The teams challenged each other to act out and explain given words or phrases to their own team members. The English Club in all the wings brought together students brimming with enthusiasm and a thirst for learning, and the club experienced a tapestry of unforgettable moments. MOTHER`S DAY - Mother – An Epitome of love 14.05.2023

The day that celebrates the love, teachings, compassion, and essence of a mother is Mother’s Day. The mother-child relationship is a sacred bond. This day is a day of delight for all the children and there could not be a more universal celebration than to celebrate Mother’s Day. Keeping the same zeal and ebullience, Greenwanians celebrated Mother’s Day. The students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, showered their love and bestowed fealty to their mothers by making treasure boxes in which they fill the goods of their mother's choice and on top of it they pasted the photograph of their mother. Classes VI to VIII opened their heart to say – MY MOTHER MY HERO. Classes IX to XII made an honest confession and promise to be a better person. They wrote it and put it in the envelope. Also posters, adorable cards, messages filled with innocence and concern, and self-composed poems. The students also made beautiful handmade gifts for their mothers and showed their gratitude in their unique way. The Principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, felt delighted to see the enthusiasm of the students and also praised their efforts put in and inspired the students to inculcate virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways that make the parents happy. Bestowing responsibilities and duties on the young shoulders is the best way to propagate invincible determination grit and courage to help steer to success with this noble objective a grand Investiture ceremony was organized in Greenway Modern School on 12.05.2023. Where in the school Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva and school Academic Coordinator Mrs. Anuja Jaitley conferred the badges to the members of the student guild. In addition to the badge, these young leaders were also given the sash and respective house flags which they held with pride and honor. Marching towards the stage, first came the House Captains, Head Boys and Head Girls, and then Secretaries. Akshat Sharma and Varsha P. Nair were selected as the Head Boy and Head Girl with 16 other students who succeed in their allegiance to work for the school.

ATL COMMUNITY DAY – 12.05.2023

Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, Delhi - 95, organized ATL COMMUNITY DAY on May 12th, 2023. It was a step towards innovation to extend the frontiers of learning and knowledge among children from various schools as well as an NGO. The event was graced by the presence of the honorable Principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, as well as eminent guests, which included Dr Usha Rao, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs Intellectual Property Office, a special guest Mr. Anmol Rishi, Co-founder of Edsplore, and two NGOs - Nanhe Pakshi and Pathshala. The Greenway ATL lab has completed its five-year journey through which it has won a multitude of tinker fests and competitions. Moreover, an exhibition was organized, which included innovative models by our ATL innovators like Swaraksha, Tech Farming, Pukar, med bed, etc. A workshop was also organized by the ATL mentors for children from other schools and the NGO. The children actively participated. All in all, the aim of Greenway to spread the mantra - "IMAGINE, INNOVATE, IMPLEMENT" - was a resounding success.

CELEBRATIONS OF WORLD AUTISM DAY – 02.04.2023

World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated all over the country on 2nd April. It is celebrated to highlight the need to help/improve the quality of life of those so that they can lead a meaningful life as an integral part of society. Greenwanians took an active part by making posters, and slogans & a Nukkad natak was also presented to make the students aware that they are also normal children and they require a little guidance & extra care. They also took a pledge to protect & support them. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts of the students & special educator of the school for taking the initiative for creating awareness among other students.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY – 29.04.2023

The INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY is observed globally on 29th April every year. The day celebrates the value and importance of the dance and encourages participation in this art form. This day is also celebrated to promote the multiple benefits of dancing, to recognize dance as a stress reliever to express oneself a way of celebrating happiness, and an activity that brings people together. The Primary, Middle & Senior wings of Greenway Modern School celebrated International Dance Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of classes 1&2 were divided into groups and wore masks of different animals. The sounds of the animals were played and they dance according to the sounds. Classes 3 to 6 did aerobics and Zumba. Classes 7 & 8 worked in groups on various dance forms and did the presentation. Classes 9 & 10 had interclass competitions, in which the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Classes 11 & 12 prepared flashcards in groups depicting different dance forms and gave the presentation. The whole school's participation in International Dance Day showed dance day is a truly global representation that brings down barriers to bring people together. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION 22.04.2023

Every year Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April at Greenway Modern School to remind the students of their duties towards Mother Nature. A Myriad of activities was conducted by Primary Middle & Senior wing students The details are for:

Teachers also made students aware of the importance of mother earth. The students were told to switch off the Electricity for one hour from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm and asked not to use an inverter, or mobile phone, and to spend time with their family by doing some activities & sharing the experience. World Heritage Day is annually celebrated on the 18th of April. It tells the importance of ancient historical buildings and their preservation for the protection of their infrastructure WORLD HERITAGE DAY is celebrated. A NEW START 2023-24 - SPECIAL ASSEMBLY 11.04.2023
A lively assembly was organized by Greenway Modern School to enlighten students on the festival of Baisakhi. Senior classes from 9 to 12 were a part of this assembly. The school has started a new trend wherein the students of class XII conduct the assemblies with innovative ideas like news, the thought of the day, a new vocabulary word, story-telling, some scientific terms, and historical terms are there to keep students engrossed. This new trend of assemblies by class 12 not only builds confidence among students but also prepares them for their future which they have to confront after high school. It is truly heartening to see students' eagerness and enthusiasm to acquire and absorb knowledge to the fullest. The assembly also included cultural dance and songs to represent India's diversity and ethnicity. At last Principal Sir Mr. Mohit Sachdeva addressed the assembly, appreciated students' efforts, and took pride in Greenwanians. He motivated students to work hard and preserve the school's legacy. WORKSHOP ON WORLD HEALTH DAY 6 & 10 APRIL 2023

On the 6th & 10th of April 2023, Greenway Modern School organized a workshop on *World* *Health Day* for the students of classes 2nd & 3rd in the auditorium. The workshop was conducted by Yakult. It was an informative session where the resource person told the students about the process of digestion, healthy habits, and also about good and bad bacteria. WORLD HEALTH DAY IS CELEBRATED BY PRIMARY, MIDDLE, AND SENIOR WINGS - 10.04.2023
The Primary, Middle & Senior Wing celebrated Health Day with a lot of enthusiasm. The students of Class I & II made Thank-you cards for Doctors & Nurses whereas Classes III, IV, & V made healthy sandwiches with multigrain bread. The students of Classes VI, VII & VIII made posters whereas Classes IX to XII wrote slogans. The teachers made them how important is health and what diet we should all eat to stay fit and remain healthy. It is rightly said HEALTH IS WEALTH. REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 2023 – 25.1.2023

India won her freedom in 15th August 1947 but became a republic on 26th January 1950, when the new constitution came into force with effect from this day. It is a day of national rejoicing as all citizens irrespective of their background celebrate it with great pomp and show throughout the length and breadth of the country. Republic Day celebrations were held in Greenway Modern School on 24th - 25th Jan 2023 for juniors and seniors respectively. The school reception, hallway and the stage were tastefully decorated with paintings and tricolours. The program began with the unfurling of our prestigious Indian flag by the Senior Coordinator Ms Anuja Jaitly. It was a spine chilling moment for the gathering when they sung the national anthem along with the choir. It was a pleasure to have the charming anchors welcome the gathering, followed by the words of Mrs Anuja ma'am, who elaborated on the significance of the occasion. As a part of the cultural program, the gleaming stars of Greenway presented a yoga demonstration. It was an exciting sight to see the students of classes I and II come together and march as one in perfect harmony, waving the tricolour and harnessing the energy of the crowd. An amazing display of Indian dance forms followed, demonstrating the different types of dances associated with the Indian history. It was with great pride that Ms Banani ma'am recited a patriotic poem from her heart on this very special day, a poem that touched the hearts of everyone present in the gathering. A function is never complete without the melodies hitting our eardrums. Further a graceful patriotic song was sung by the choir which instilled in students a great sense of nationalism and dedication towards their motherland. The program was concluded by the Activity Coordinator, Ms Jaishree ma'am, giving a vote of thanks.

SCIENCE MATRIX - A SCIENCE & MATHS EXHIBITION - 30.12.2022

A Science and Maths exhibition was organized by Greenway Modern School in its premises on 31 December 2022 wherein numerous models on Science and Mathematics were displayed by different age groups of Greenwanians. The exhibition also showcased a Nukkad Natak on the theme "Save Water" which was performed by Primary Wing Students. The exhibition demonstrated umpteen innovative models on the varied concepts of Science and Mathematics. There were both working and non- working models. The best appreciated model was a drone which was made by class VIII students. The event was highly appreciated by the management as well as the parents.

GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2022

Christmas is a season of joy, peace and gratitude. It is a day that illuminates the world with the warmth of love, care and true sacrifice. A day when we derive pleasure by serving the needy and forgiving others in affection. The Christmas celebrations at Greenway Modern School were marked with pomp and show on 23rd and 24th December 2022 for juniors and seniors respectively. The anchors, who welcomed everyone to the afternoon assembly, began the program with a joyous note. First of all it was a melodious musical performance by the choir. The divine Christmas Carols ushered in a unique feeling of warmth and joy that brightened the winter day for all. Later the talented students of class 11th enacted the Nativity Scene of Jesus. Their mesmerizing performance, filled with elegance, attracted everybody's attention. Santa Claus is undoubtedly the charm of the occasion. Everyone was taken aback when Santa made an appearance in the middle of the performance and started handing out toffees. It was a show with lots of fun and prizes to be won. The Coordinator and Academic In-charge selected slips of paper with the names of teachers, class section and roll number of student written on them. The lucky draw winners ascended the stage to get their presents from Santa Claus. Teachers of the arts, music and dance department were given presents as an expression of gratitude for their dedication to their work, along with Jeevan Bhaiyya who helped to organize everything for the occasion. At last, Ms. Anuja Jaitly, the Senior Coordinator, addressed the gathering and expressed her joy while also appreciating the participants for their contributions.

GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL WOOLEN DRIVE 2022 - 07.12.2022

With Delhi reaching its peak temperature and the lowest temperature in December, there are more people like us who need both, the warmth of our hearts and that of clothes. With an aim to provide comfort to these people wandering in streets and living in slums, Greenway Modern School, in collaboration with Delhi Police and some NGO's organized a woolen drive on 7th December 2022. With the true spirit of Christmas, Greenwanians did a wonderful job by donating woolen clothes to people who are in need. More than perceiving this as mere charity, it was an act of kindness and satisfaction which was the actual driving force for this task. Principal Sir congratulated everyone for participating in this selfless act of charity enthusiastically and for their collective efforts towards bringing smile in the face of others. This New Year, with this small effort, a new ray of hope has been built in the hearts of many.

IMPLEMENTATION OF SDG PROJECT IN PRIMARY WING - 07.12.2022

In the pursuit of instilling a sense of responsibility in managing natural resources and developing values of sustainability, Primary wing of Greenway Modern School conducted a myriad of eco- activities for Classes I-V. From spreading awareness on waste management by introducing the 3-Bin Solution in classes I&II to effectively promoting the approach of 'learning by doing' by fostering the skills of recycling materials in III-V, Greenwanians under the leadership of Ms Deepa Bhardwaj, vowed to refrain from indulging in any ecologically unethical practices. In addition, a Street play performance on water conservation theme was put up emphasizing the significance of water motivating everyone to curb practices leading to its wastage. With a vision to link the beneficiaries to the green planet, Greenway Modern School will continue striving to reach the sustainable development goals.

Greenway Modern School Students celebrated the day by reading the Preamble and reaffirming our commitment to uphold the ideology. CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION - 2022 SENIOR WING - 14.11.2022

Also known as Bal Divas, every year 14th November is celebrated as Children's Day in India; marking the birth anniversary of our former Prime minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. To observe the birth of dear Chacha Nehru and make it a memorable day for our little ones, Greenway Modern School celebrated children's day with great pomp and show.
The assembly began with a prayer followed by a song sung gracefully by the teachers. Showering the students with love and enjoyment teachers caught everyone's attention with their power packed dance performance. In-charge Ma'am addressed the day and also explained the phase of childhood- our greatest essence of happiness to the gathered students.
To make this day a colourful one, tiny tots were dressed up in formal attires. It was indeed a magical experience for the primary students to witness a magic show. Yet another programme that mesmerized them was the movie which was shown to them at school. There were several fun filled activities that were conducted in respective classes. The success of the day reflected through their eyes which squint slightly while bearing a bright smile on their faces.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION - 01.11.2022

Every year, October 31 is marked as National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in India to observe Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, who served as India's first deputy Prime Minister. His contributions to India's freedom movement and political integration made him known as The Iron Man Of India. To kindle the spark of unity amongst the young minds, Greenway Modern School conducted a fancy dress competition for class I and II. The tiny tots who were dressed up in different states with colourful attires embellished themselves with props. They elaborated on the topic Unity In Diversity as they went on to speak about Indian culture and the existence of a large variety of different community that live in peace. NATIONAL UNITY DAY CELEBRATIONS - 31.10.2022
National Unity Day is observed on 31st October every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel who served the first Prime Minister of India after Independence.
The school also celebrated the UNITY DAY by conducting Fancy Dress Competition for class 1& 2, 3 4 & 5 had the POSTER COMPETITION , 6 to 10th had Essay Writing. The whole school took the Oath to commemorate the UNITY Day. During Assembly the students were made aware about the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel towards his contribution during Freedom Struggle

INTER-HOUSE RANGOLI COMPETITION - 22.10.2022

Diwali is a festival of joy and light. This auspicious day, every year, evokes in us love and leaves the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness. In order to celebrate this important occasion with teachers and students, various activities were held in Greenway Modern School for all classes.
To keep the day bright and beautiful, the tiny tots of classes I and II came in colorful traditional attire. Students of the primary wing were shown a movie which talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and how to celebrate this day by sharing and caring for others as well as the environment.
Diwali is incomplete without rangolis. In the wake of providing an opportunity to show their creativity, both Senior and Middle Wing had Inter-House Rangoli Competition.

The judgement for the competition was done by Mr Gopal Das, a freelancer expert in the field of Art, whose works reside in various embassies and continue to inspire many. Finally the principal congratulated all the participants for their active and energetically, yet creative performance. He also thanked the teachers and the school management for their collective efforts in making this day a big success.

DIWALI CELEBRATION 2022 - SENIOR 22.10.2022

Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is celebrated to commemorate the victorious return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, by decorating our houses with diyas and lights. The lighted diyas not only illuminate the world but also shack the darkness of ignorance. Keeping this thoughtful message in mind, Greenway Modern School celebrated Deepavali on 21st and 22nd October 2022 with the theme GREEN DIWALI CLEAN DIWALI. The assembly began with a divine prayer followed by a beautiful song sung by the choir. While the young charming stars of primary and middle were busy performing a musical drama; depicting the significance of Diwali and the mythological stories that are associated with it, the tiny tots showcased how different states mark this day traditionally and culturally. To avoid contributing to the existing pollution Greewanians took a pledge to observe Green Diwali and share the warmth of this occasion not with fireworks but with sweets and love.

To enhance the glorious heritage, culture and traditions among our students and to keep the festive spirit alive , Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden , conducted an assembly on Dussehra, on 30 September and 1st October' 22, including a dance drama in which children were beautifully dressed up to play the role of their favourite mythological characters from Ramayana. The children who enacted these roles were perfect in their poise, confidence and expression and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.

The assembly was addressed by our respected senior coordinator, Ms. Anuja Jaitely, our activity in-charge, Ms Jaishree Shreedharan and our primary wing in-charge Ms Renu Gupta, who appreciated and emboldened the students for their fabulous performance.

WEBINAR ON HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP OF BODY AND MIND - 27.9.2022

Greenway Modern School organised a webinar on 27 September 2022 for the parents of classes 3rd to 5th. It emphasised on the after effects of the pandemic on the children of today. The primary coordinator Mrs Renu Gupta elucidated on the physical and as well as mental rejuvenation And development of the children. The PET Mrs Nupur Gautam furnished the knowledge about balanced diet, healthy food habits and exercises to be followed by the children. The Parents appreciated the efforts for taking such an initiative and the Principal of the school emphasized that it is the need of the hour and assured that ftom time yo time such workshop will be conducted so that jointly we can cater to the needs of the children.

GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL CELEBRATES TEACHERS' DAY 2022 - 05.09.2022
A teacher is like a candle who burns himself to lighten up the whole world. They show us the righteous path when we are directionless and hence play a vital role in educating our society and making this world a better place. To honor and appreciate their hardwork and determination, Greenway Modern School celebrated "Teachers Day 2022" with great gusto and gaiety. To begin the day with a respectful gesture; all teachers were presented with flowers as a token of love by the student council members. The morning assembly began with a melodious Guru Vandana: Reverence for the teacher, followed by a group song. Sheepu Raipa, a student of class XII-A, gave an emphatic speech stressing on the importance of this day and the impeccable works of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan towards the society. Ananya P Nair of class XI-B expressed her emotions through a beautifully composed poem. Further the talented dancers displayed an energetic performance for the teachers and finally the Principal, Mr Mohit Sachdeva, gave a thanksgiving speech articulating his regards to all the teacher and students

JANMASHTAMI 2022 GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL - 16 to 18 August , 2022
Janmashtami, celebrated to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna, is a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces from the world. Janmashtami celebration was held in Greenway Modern School from 16th Aug to 18th Aug during the assembly. The programme began with a devotional prayer song by the choir accompanied by a skit. This beautiful skit prepared by the students portrayed the childhood life of Lord Krishna revealing his innocence, love and care for others. The cute little ones added to the beauty of the show when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami song, filling the air with a festive spirit. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, senior students enthralled the audience with their dandiya dance. Audience gave them a big round of applause. Finally the Sr Coordinator Ms. Anuja Jaitley addressed the assembly with her kind and motivating words. She concluded her speech with a vote of thanks and appreciated students for a colourful and vibrant performance.

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2022 GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL - 13.08.2022

With patriotism filled in the air, Greenway Modern School celebrated 76th Independence Day on 13th August 2022 with great joy and pomp. The day began with the flag hoisting ceremony by the principal Mr Mohit Sachdeva, followed by singing of the national anthem. He also delivered a welcome speech in which he conveyed his ideas regarding India's future and its entry at the global standards, making it a superpower in the upcoming years.

Later a patriotic song filled with grace and delicacy was presented by the choir. A cultural dance lifted the show by inculcating immense pride in the hearts of students as well as teachers. Explaining about the significance of this day to the young children, the head-boy of school, Himanshu Morwal gave an emphatic speech. Besides giving them a huge round of applause, the principal appreciated these charming dancers and singers for their alluring performance.

RAKSHABANDHAN 2022 GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL -10.08.2022

Raksha Bandhan is a time to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. The festival Raksha Bandhan, meaning "The Bond of Protection", is an auspicious occasion which involves the sister tying the sacred thread on her brother's wrist.

To strengthen this bond of eternal love, Greenway Modern School conducted a 'Rakhi Making Competition' for classes I and II. The tiny tots made colourful Rakhis by using decorative threads, sheets, stars, mirrors and pearls. Similarly 'Cooking Without Fire' was held from class III to X where students made various delicious and healthy dishes in class. It is also a way to foster in the developing minds the importance of cooking without carrying a gender barrier.

Sweets are a trademark of joy, happiness, love but most importantly a token of gratitude to fellow beings. "Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye" was an inter house competition in which students made sweet delicacies to celebrate this delightful occasion. The Sr Coordinator Ms. Anuja Jaitley and Nursery In-charge Ms. Roopali judged their cuisines on the basis of taste, presentation and nutrition. Both the senior and middle wing participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. The principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva also appreciated the students and teachers for their diligent hard work and dedication.

Since time immemorial, story telling has been an integral part of our childhood. They not only give wings to our imagination but also teach us many valuable lessons. In the quest to promote this unending tradition, a story telling competition was conducted for class II by Greenway Modern School on 30th July 2022 where life and expression was in abundance. The young enthusiastic storytellers dressed up as characters and armed with their props came forth with fascinating tales that had powerful morals. The competition was adjudged on the basis of fluency, voice modulation, costumes and expressions. The participants left no stone unturned by doing their best. Their sheer determination towards their presentation caught everybody's eyes. Finally they all were congratulated for their astounding performance.

These tiny tots enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. Dressed up according to the theme along with the props, these students, spoke on burning issues such as conservation of trees and protection of animals. CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY ( JUNE 21st 2022)

International Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world on June 21st across the globe. The theme for this year's International yoga day 2022 is 'YOGA FOR HUMANITY". To commemorate yoga day Greenway Modern School celebrated on 21st June 2022 in which the students and teachers actively participated. The students depicted various Asanas through posters, videos. The NCC Cadets and the Sports students performed various ASANAS in school premises under the supervision of Ms. Silky Sharma NCC CARE TAKER and P.Et Mr. Mukesh Sharma The subject teachers integrated yoga with their respective subject. The Principal of the school Mr. Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of teachers in CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY and congratulated the students for their active participation.

Father’s day is celebrated across the world with the objective of realizing and honoring the contribution of father in the society. It is a day which celebrates the fatherhood paternal bonds and the efforts of male parents towards their family and society. The students of Greenway Modern School showed their love and respect towards their father by doing the following activities. CELEBRATIONS OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 05.06.2022

Greenway Modern school celebrated World Environment Day virtually with great fanfare on June 5th, 2022.. The main purpose of the celebration was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it. The students planted saplings and took a pledge to save the environment. Class 1 & 2 made water bottle planters, class 3 to 5 paper bag with newspaper, 6 to 8 made tetra-pack bird Feeder, dustbin Class 12th students made lovely posters, wrote slogans, articles self-composed poems. Apart from the above the students also planted saplings. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts of the students & teachers that even during the summer vacations the students are taking initiative to protect the environment.






WORKSHOP BY PEARSON ON 1ST JUNE, 2022

A workshop was organized by Pearson in Greenway Modern School. The workshop was attended by the English teachers of Classes 1st to -8th . The theme of the workshop was to make us familiar with functions and usage of Active App 2.0. The app has been designed for both teachers and students. App will help students to get their learning potential elevated with energy! Students can access digital content that is mapped to Pearson textbook making the learning process more unique, interactive, contextual and learner- centric. It is an end-to-end solution that delivers a personalized learning experience ensuring that learning continues anytime, anywhere. Overall, the workshop was very interactive and useful for the teachers. "Brilliant in terms of time saving for teachers".







MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION AT GREENWAY – 08.05.2022

The day that celebrates the love, teachings, compassion and essence of a mother is Mother’s Day. The mother-child relationship is a sacred bond. This day is a day of delight for all the children and there could not be a more universal celebration than to celebrate Mother’s Day. Keeping the same zeal and ebullience, Greenwanians celebrated Mother’s Day at homes. The students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, showered their love and bestowed fealty to their mothers by contributing to making posters, adorable cards, messages filled with innocence and concern, self composed poems and even proffered their cooking abilities to their mothers by having non-fire cooking at home for them. The Primary wing students also made beautiful handmade gifts for their mothers and each way of expressing their gratitude was special and unique in its own way. The Principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, felt delighted to see the enthusiasm of the students and also praised their efforts put in and inspired the students to inculcate virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways that makes the parents happy.






CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY - 29.04.2022

The INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY is observed globally on 29th April every year. The day celebrates the value and importance of the dance and encourages participation in thus art form. This day is also celebrated to promote the multiple benefits of dancing, to recognize dance as stress reliever expressing oneself a way of celebrating happiness and an activity that brings people together. The Primary, Middle & Senior wing of Greenway Modern School celebrated International Dance day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of class 1&2 came in fancy clothes danced to the tune of music, Class 3,4 &5 students played quiz on various dance forms, the students of card made a placard on the dance form gave a presentation whereas the students of 9th wrote why it is necessary to dance & for the students of class 10th it was a talent hunt. The students danced from bollywood, folk and western style form. The several of the dance forms really made the audience tap their feet. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts made by the students & teachers.






EARTH DAY CELEBRATION 22.04.2022

Every year Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April at Greenway Modern school to remind the students of their duties towards Mother Nature. A Myriad of activities was conducted by Primary Middle & Senior wing students. They took pledge that they will not use plastic. They also planted saplings, made posters, wrote poems, slogans, made videos, and articles to save mother earth. The day was marked not only by awareness but also enthusiasm on the part of students. Teachers also made students aware of the importance of mother earth. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts of students & teachers to take such initiatives to save mother earth.

POSTER MAKING COMPETITION - 61ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST HUMAN SPACE FLIGHT on 23.04.2022

AN ACHIEVEMENT TO BE CHERISHED : A Poster Competition was organized by the Russian Cultural Centre to commomerate the 61st Anniversary of the First Human Space Flight By the Soviet COSMONAUT YURI GAGARIN. Near 15 schools participated in this competition and it was a proud that 5 students of Greenway school got the prize. Out of 15 schools only three schools bagged the prizes and Greenway was one of them. It was indeed a proud moment. CELEBRATION OF WORLD HERITAGE DAY – 18th April 2022

World Heritage Day is annually celebrated on 18th April. It tells the importance of ancient historical buildings and their preservation for the protection of their infrastructure WORLD HERITAGE DAY is celebrated. The Primary, Middle & Senior Wing students of Greenway Modern School celebrated the day by giving presentation on the monuments state-wise, lesser known monuments, made slogans & Posters on why it is necessary to save our heritage. WORLD HEALTH DAY CELEBRATED BY PRIMARY, MIDDLE AND SENIOR WING- 08.04.2022

The Primary, Middle & Senior Wing celebrated Health day with lot of enthusiasm. The students of Class I & II made the diet chart whereas the Classes III, IV, & V played well-being bingo and the students of Classes VI, VII & VIII did Cooking Without Fire and told the nutrients present in food, whereas Classes IX to XII made posters & animations. WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL - 01.04.2022

School reopened after two years of Pandemic. Children were so happy & energetic. School blossomed once again. The teachers welcomed them with their open arms and the students were full of energy & smile to be back in school. A NOBLE CAUSE - 25.03.2022
The students of Greenway Modern School students donated their previous books to the poor & needy residing in slum areas of Seemapuri. The books were collected and were given to the Beat Officers for further distribution. The overwhelming response of the students and parents was really praiseworthy. The Principal of the School Mr.Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of Parents, Students and teachers.

ORIENTATION SESSION FOR CLASSES I TO X (2022-2023) - 28.03.2022

Greenway Modern School organized orientation session for the students of classes 1 to 10 (2022_2023) on 25th & 26th March 2022.As the school is reopening after two years of Pandemic the Academic In-charges of Primary, Middle & Senior cleared the parents apprehensions of sending their wards to the school. They were also made aware about the Examination Pattern, activities and other minute details which were going to take place in the coming academic year. The parents cleared their doubts in the question answer session and all the queries were answered by the respective In-charges in a very fruitful manner. The parents were happy with the session and the session ended on a positive note.

PUBLIC DIALOGUE ON CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE & CHILD TRAFFICKING 24.02.2022

A two day public dialogue was organized on 22nd and 24th February 2022 by SRI SRI MARUT NANDAN SEWA SANSTA in collaboration with KAILASH SATYARTHI CHILDRENS FOUNDATION at GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL DILSHAD GARDEN, wherein various issues related to child abuse and child trafficking was taken and eminent personalities participated in this event. The parents whose children who were affected also took part in it. The distinguished guests took various aspects of it and provided the solutions how we can eliminate this gradually from our society. They also promised to give various help to the children who went through this phase during their childhood. Ms. Geetika Sharma IAS , District Magistrate North East who was the Chief Guest of this event also gave her full support, so that these kind of acts are fully eliminated from the society. ANOTHER FEATHER IN GREENWAY'S CAP - 29.01.2022

The Primary Wing of GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL participated in the Maths Quiz organized by Parevartan School, Ghaziabad on 29th of January, 2022. Near about 17 schools from Delhi- NCR participated in this inter-school quiz. It was a tough competition. Our students of classes 3rd, 4th & 5th outshined other schools and won 2nd prize. The students were judged on the basis of 3 – rounds. It was a proud moment for the school. REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION - 2022 - 27.01.2022

GREENWAY CELEBRATED 73rd REPUBLIC DAY

Greenway Modern School celebrated India's 73rd republic Day virtually wherein the unfurling of the national flag was done by the principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva and he also offered his warm wishes to all the parents, students and staff. On this glorious occasion, the students presented different performances like dance, poetry, patriotic song etc. and honored the spirit of One Nation, One Vision, One Identity that lives in the hearts of Indians. The students of primary wing presented a beautiful role-play enactment of the great revolutionaries of Indian from Prithvi Raj Chauhan to Dr Ambedkar. The students also projected a display of various achievements of India in the last 73 years that has made everyone proud of being an Indian. The patriotism in children could be seen by their energy while performing. The virtual function went very well and was highly praised

FINAL REPORT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG) PROGRAMME- 20.01.2022

Pristine process of development had brought man from woods to settlements. As the years rolled by, we got acquainted with the concept of sustainable development. Inspirationally, Greenwanians had taken the prudent gesture to enlighten and embolden it's students for sustainable development through the project. Science teachers beautifully inculcated the same among the students The school has initiated an earnest gesture through we formulate organizing principles which helps to sustain the limited resources essential to provide for the needs of our future generation. School has always been a frontline warrior in the Global fight against all environmental related issues. For further strengthening the process, we came up with more Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG) programmes along with the existing ones .with this initiative, we were sure to create a little difference for our Mother Earth and will make it a better place to live. Also, we were able to sensitize our immediate community and created social awareness for the same through our SDG warriors. School successfully completed 3 projects under Ms Deepa Bhardwaj for classes I-IX. The projects were:

On 25th December , students of Nursery, Primary, Middle & Senior
Wing organized a virtual Christmas and New Year celebration. The event
was conducted online wherein they witnessed wonderful presentations
depicting the importance of Christmas, Nativity of Jesus and some
lively dances. The students of Class 10th gave their New Year
resolutions. A Surprise event was the song by the Teachers GOOD THINGS

JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN – 29.11.2021

Greenway Modern School, Water Conservation Club under Ms. Deepa Bhardwaj had taken the initiative along with the students & activity coordinator as per the circular Jal Shakti Abhiyan awareness held the poster making competition for primary & middle wing to make them aware how important it is to save water. Without this perishable and precious resource life on earth cannot be imagined. The students also dedicated a video message for all, through which we learnt that saving water is not the responsibility of one single individual but for a nation as a whole.

FINAL PRESENTATION OF ONLINE EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH KOREAN SCHOOL BY PRIMARY & MIDDLE WING - 24 & 26 November, 2021

The Primary & Middle wing of Greenway Modern School had the final session of online exchange programme on November 24th & 26th respectively. As the whole world was shaken by COVID 19 Pandemic, the third & final session of online exchange was organized to discuss on the topic how to deal with COVID 19 & wrap up of the previous session. The students presented the myths & facts about the Pandemic and also a presentation on the precautions to be taken was also shown. A farewell song was also presented. The middle wing students presented their presentation on traditional play/games, which included Khokho, Ludo, Hide & Seek, etc were shown to them. Our students also got an opportunity to know about their traditional games which included YUTHORI, JEGICHAGI, & TUHO.A traditional play Kabuliwala was also shown, that emotions are very important. Overall it was an interactive & fun filled learning programme as the students learnt about the culture & tradition of each other. The session ended with a positive note of meeting again

CELEBRATION OF SAMVIDAN DIWAS - 26.11.2021 - 26.11.2021

Every year 26th November is celebrated as SAMVIDAN DIWAS to commemorate the day of adoption of our constitution. This year SAMVIDAN DIWAS is celebrated as a part of AZADI KI AMRIT MAHORSAV. Greenway Modern school also participated and read the PREAMBLE in mass. The teachers explained the students about the importance of this day and the constitution of India.

SOF (SCIENCE OLYMPIAD) AWARDS TO THE WINNERS - 24.11.2021
On 24th November the students of Greenway Modern School, who were the winners of SOF were given their Awards by the School Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva. It was a proud moment for the students to receive the award, a moment that was cherished by all the students. The Principal of the school congratulated the students and motivated other students to participate in these kind of Competitions. CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATIONS - 14.11.2021

Children are loved by one and all. They win our hearts with their innocent smiles. On November 14th Children's Day is celebrated in India. Children are the torchbearers of the future. Greenway Modern school celebrated children's day with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. The teachers showed the students various videos, short movies organized quiz and a special video was made by class 10 teachers as a good luck charm for their students who will be appearing for their board exams. A special message by the school Principal was also conveyed to the students. The principal of the school appreciated the efforts of teachers for showing inspirational movies & talking on the occasion of children’s day.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY - 11.11.2021

Greenway Modern School observed 11th November 2021, as National Education Day, to commemorate the birth anniversary of MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD, great freedom fighter eminent educationist, and the first union minister of EDUCATION. Teachers explained the contribution of Maulana Abul Kalam and organized Essay writing, slogans on the importance of Education. The students of the school actively participated in it and understood the importance of Education. As it is rightly said "EDUCATION IS NOT PREPARATION FOR LIFE; EDUCATION IS LIFE ITSELF"

DIWALI CELEBRATION - 08.11.2021

The spirit of any festival is felt the most when we all come together as a family. This year, Greenway Modern School celebrated Diwali Online by conducting activities like slogan writing, making of digital collage, dance, and art exhibition. Every year on October 31st National Unity Day/ Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is commemorated. Under the EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT Activity GREENWAY, MODERN SCHOOL observed Ekta Diwas. The day is celebrated to recognize the birth anniversary of India’s Iron Man Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The students took the pledge to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen.

ONLINE EXCHANGE PROGRAMME WITH KOREAN SCHOOL (PRIMARY WING) - 22.10.2021

In the continuation of the edutainment bond between South Korea and India, the Second Online Cultural Exchange was held on 12th October 2021 with the students of Yang Yang Elementary School South Korea. The little Greenwanians of Class 5 shared about the global issue –The environment. The students expressed their views about the rising pollution and how to tackle the problems by saving their trees, banning single-use plastic, management of waste, and cleaning the rivers and oceans. The students also encouraged their fellow students to take a pledge to imbibe some basic habits to contribute to the saving of the environment. In addition to this, the Koreans took a ride to India by showing them videos of the major festivals of India. On the other hand, the students of Yang Yang elementary school made students aware of the rising environmental crisis and how to contribute to saving the environment by their small actions. PPTs and videos were shown by the students. The program concluded with a positive note of being together as earth mates and saving mother earth.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION – 2021 - 18.10.2021

Dussehra is a popular Hindu festival that marks the victory of good over evil. An online program was organized on 15.10.2021 wherein, our talented Greenwanians of Classes 6 to 9 got an opportunity to showcase the culture and heritage of their country through skit and dance. Students depicted Ramayana, Mahishasura vadh, and Dandiya. All the children participated enthusiastically. The Principal of the school Mr. Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of the students & teachers. He told the students that the purpose of organizing this celebration was to make everyone aware of the repeated message, i.e. the triumph of virtue over the vice. He congratulated the teachers and the students for such a wonderful program.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES AMRIT MAHOTSAV - 2021 - 06.10.2021

As per circular 2348_97:dated 4th October 2021, the students were made aware of the importance of planting saplings/gardening. The students actively took part in these activities and understood the importance of planting the saplings.The Principal of the school also planted a sapling.

The students wrote essays on the ritual, costumes, and rituals of the partnering state/UT (SIKKIM). The Primary wing students made cards. It was an enriching experience for the students to know about the rich & cultural heritage of the partnering state Sikkim.

COUNSELING SESSION YOU MATTER – THE WELLNESS CONFAB - 21.09.2021

Under the Series of Online counseling Programme 'You Matter-The Wellness Confab' - The second Counseling session was organized for the Teachers on the Topic 'Managing Stress During Covid 19 Pandemic on 18th September 2021 Around 60 Teachers attended this Wellness session. The program aimed to help the teachers in getting equipped with techniques in managing the covid19 stress. The session started with a Quick Test for measuring Stress, after that the Importance of Mental Wellness was discussed. A Pictorial Quiz based on Mental Alertness was also conducted during the Session. Overall the session was informative. It was conducted by Ms. Shivani Vats (PGT Psychology).

SWACHCH BHARAT PAKHWADA- 1 - 15 September 2021

SWACHCH BHARAT PAKHWADA………… EK KADAM SWACHATA KI AUR

Greenway Modern School organized a Swachch Bharat Pakhwada from 1st to 15th September 2021 under the guidelines of CBSE CIRCULAR – 73/2021 dated 31st August 2021

The themes for the Pakhwada were three major Precautionary Practices – “Handwashing with Soap, Use of Mask, and Social Distancing”. Before flagging this 15-day long cleanliness drive on the school premises, the teachers spoke to the students about the significance of cleanliness in our lives online. They also told the students that though the campaign is for 15 days only, cleanliness is a thing that had to be maintained even after the stipulated time period. The school premises including offices, classes, playground, and even the parking lots were to be maintained. For observing the Pakhwada in a benefitting manner, the students had to complete the tasks which were directed through day-wise action plans.

Students of each class took an oath to take up at least one activity for personal/school/home/community cleanliness. The cleanliness maintenance and planning day witnessed the inspection of sanitary facilities by the teachers. The day was planned to encourage cleanliness and waste management. Swachchta participation Day was full of mind-boggling activities ranging from the Essay Writing competition to the Painting competition organized by the teachers for the students. In-class quiz competitions and debates were also organized on cleanliness and hygiene practices in schools. Personal hygiene, which is the most important factor in cleanliness, was focused on an audio-visual program. Through the medium of videos, students learned the proper way of cutting and keeping nails clean, hygienic ways of using toilets, and proper methods of hand washing before and after meals. Awareness of water bone diseases and safe drinking water habits were encouraged too. The students also took the activity of Water Harvesting and its benefits.

By the end of this drive, the students observed an alarming point that if we are not serious now towards hazards caused due to the lack of cleanliness, then in the coming years the environment would be more polluted and the situation may be very difficult for humans on earth to survive.

*SOF OLYMPIAD RESULT 2020-21* - 14.09.2021

Greenwanians outshined once again in the Olympiad examination organized by SOF in the year 2020-21. A number of students achieved prestigious ranks in various Olympiads.

1. *Siddharth Sinha* of class IV C secured 2nd international rank in IEO and 5th international rank in IMO. He also won a gift voucher of Rs 1000/- each in both IEO and IMO.

On 5 September 2021, Greenway celebrated Teachers’ Day along with Hindi Diwas virtually.

The entire program was published on YouTube and made live for the teachers, students & parents. The students paid their gratitude and showed love to their teachers through various presentations. The students of the middle and senior wing presented dance, skit, speech, poetry, etc. It was the celebration of Hindi Diwas as well that is celebrated on 14 September every year. Students displayed the importance of the Hindi language through the medium of dance, skit, and speech. The whole program was organized by the Hindi Department of the school. OBSERVANCE OF SADBHAVANA DIWAS - 20.08.2021

Sadbhavana Diwas is observed nationwide on 20th August every year. The theme of Sadbhavana Diwas is to promote National Integration and communal harmony among people of all religions languages and regions. The idea behind the observance of Sadbhavana Diwas is to eschew violence and to promote goodwill among the people. Greenwanians also observed Sadbhavana Diwas by taking a pledge that they will work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste region, religion, or language.

75th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT GMS

15th August 1947 was pleasantly noteworthy or memorable in the history of India as people of the Country got emancipation from the tyrant clutches of the Britishers. All people commemorate this national festival with great exhilaration. On 14 August 2021 Greenway also celebrated the day with great cheerfulness. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. The venerable Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva unfurled the National Flag and addressed everyone with great zeal and gusto. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited by the teachers. The exotic group dance was also presented by the male faculty of Greenway. In the end, the Principal delivered a vote of thanks and planted a sapling to pay homage to our brave soldiers and sublime martyrs. On 15th August, the online virtual event, SAMARPAN- A QUEST FOR FREEDOM was broadcasted via the YouTube Channel of the school wherein students as well as the teachers depicted the significance of freedom changing from one era to the other. The program was highly appreciated by parents. The Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva applauded the efforts of the students and teachers. STAY QRIOUS WEBINAR - 03.08.2021

A stay Qrious webinar had been organized on 3rd August'21 for classes 4th and 5th of Greenway Modern School. The resource person Mr. Aanand Srinivas, former content head of the Khan Academy focused on learning to code. He also told the children that it is not about making the app but understanding the algorithms in order to solve problems. He helped them in making the captain America shield by using the tools of computing. Children took interest in the session and had a number of queries which were solved very patiently by Mr. Aanand. *INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY* 29TH JULY 2021

International Tiger Day is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation, held annually on 29 July. It was founded in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit. The goal of the day is to *promote a global system for protecting natural habitats and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues. In light of this, the students of Greenway Modern School were required to make posters/ write Slogans to Save tigers. Students who watched the movie *Sherni* (released on Amazon prime) showcases *nature and man fight against a forest officer as she and her team of locals and trackers attempt to capture a disturbing tigress, shared their review Through a write-up, and made videos. CELEBRATION OF 'WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY' - 28th JULY

*' World Nature Conservation Day'* is observed on 28 July every year around the world to raise awareness about the significance of natural resources and encourage the people about the practices of protecting natural resources.GREENWAY MODERN School, Dilshad Garden, Eco Club has pledged to conserve the environment and mother earth. *Our single step towards nature's conservation will leave a greener legacy for our posterity.*

The following activities were taken up to celebrate the day.

Classes 1 to 5

Students made a cloth bag using an old piece of cloth decorated it with waste material/write quote on it.

Classes 6 to 8

Students made a poster reflecting the contrast between the environment they presently live in and the one that they desire to have.

Classes 9th to 12th

Students created a collage/short video (max 1 min) reflecting the contrast between the environment they presently live in and the one that they desire to have.

The WORLD POPULATION DAY is observed on July 11th all over the world. It serves to highlight the growing problems that come with a growing population. The theme of the day this year is "Raise Awareness around women's and girl's needs for sexual & reproductive health. Greenwanians observed this day by making posters that depicted how harmful is the increasing population for the growth of the economy. The students of classes 9th&10th had a debate on the overgrowing population whereas the students of classes 11th&12th had a discussion on the same. A WEBINAR ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BREAKFAST

A Webinar on “IMPORTANCE OF BREAKFAST” was organized for the parents and students of classes Nursery to 8th by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics a renowned College from Bangalore in partnership with PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt Ltd and the Food Safety and Standards Authority Of India (FSSAI)on 6th July 2021, emphasizing on Why is it important to have breakfast. Panelists explained that breakfast is often called 'the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. As the name suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period. It replenishes your supply of glucose to boost your energy levels and alertness, while also providing other essential nutrients required for good health. They stressed on the “Eat Right School” (Safe & Nutritious Food @ Schools) program aims at creating awareness about food safety, nutrition & hygiene among school children, and through them among the community at large. Children are powerful change agents. The main aim of the program was to create awareness about the importance of breakfast. Students participated actively and enjoyed the Riddle Session. RESENTATION BY YEONYANG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (ONLINE EXCHANGE HELD ON 1st July 2021)

The second cultural Korean exchange program was an amazing moment to cherish for the young Greenwaynians. Through various presentations, the students of the Yeon Yang elementary school took the students on a virtual trip to Korea. the Greenwaynians were enlightened about the great monuments of South Korea, different food items, their traditional dress, their religion, their school, and school life. The inquisitive Indian students had many queries regarding their country which were satiated by the Korean students and their teachers. WORLD DOCTOR'S DAY 01.07.2021
Doctors Day is celebrated every year on 1st July to thank and acknowledge the doctors of their country for their dedicated services to the patients. The ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic and its deadly second wave have once again reminded us of the role of physicians and doctors and the sacrifice and contributions made by them all over the world. This day gives a perfect opportunity to salute their work. This day is also celebrated to commemorate the birth & death of former chief minister of West Bengal Dr. Bifhan Chandra Rot.
Greenwanians also paid their tribute to the doctors by making posters, writing slogans. It was indeed a heartfelt gesture by the school to the doctors all over the world. VIRTUAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM
The COVID-19-pandemic has affected all of us in many ways, especially the mobility of the students for the Exchange Programme. Despite all this Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden once again gave a chance to its students for exhibiting their talent in a new way i.e through the Virtual Exchange Program with MOKDONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL of SOUTH KOREA. An online session was organized on 23.06.2021 wherein, our talented Greenwanians of Class 7 got an opportunity to showcase the culture and heritage of their country, school, and families through videos and PPTs. Through this virtual session, the Korean students were accustomed to the rich cultural traditions, food habits, and diverse attributes of India through a virtual trip to India and also about the nuclear and joint families. Exchange of questions was there and all the queries were answered in a very lively way. This Virtual Exchange Programme helped the students of both the schools to exhibit higher degrees of awareness and acceptance for cultural diversity. CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY ( JUNE 21ST 2021)
International Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world on June 21st across the globe. The theme for this year's International yoga day 2021 is 'YOGA FOR WELL BEING"
YOGA is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony. Yoga not only provides physical& mental relaxation but also develops strength and resilience. The numerous benefits of yoga make it a popular practice for people across the globe especially in times of pandemic when mental & physical health is under stress.
To commemorate yoga day Greenway Modern School celebrated YOGA WEEK from 15th June 2021 to 21st June 2021 in which the students and teachers actively participated. The students depicted various asanas through posters, videos, and a quiz was also especially conducted for class 11th &12th students. Videos were shown to students to make them understand how yoga is beneficial. The subject teachers integrated yoga with their respective subject is CREATIVE ART INTEGRATION.
A highly effective and influential yoga session was kept for teachers by renowned yoga therapist founder trustee of Anubhuti Yog. She explained through simple yoga asanas how stress can be relieved.

Father's Day is celebrated across the world with the objective of realizing and honoring the contribution of fathers in the family. It is a day that celebrates fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the efforts of Male parents towards their children.
Greenway Modern school celebrated Father's Day virtually with enthusiasm they showcased their love and respect for their fathers through various activities such as photo collages, greeting cards, fridge magnets, key chains, posters, and senior wing students made a short video expressing their gratitude towards their father.

As the Covid 19 pandemic is still unraveling, imposing travel restrictions, closure of schools have impacted the students a lot. Against this backdrop Greenway Modern School Dilshad Garden once again adopted a new approach to help its students gain international perspective and experience by encouraging a virtual exchange program for its primary wing class 5 students with YEONYANG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SOUTH KOREA. This way around 20 students from class 5 of greenway digitally (via zoom) to share their knowledge and learn from each other. During this first virtual session held on 16th June 2021, the Korean students were acquainted with the rich cultural traditions, food habits,s and diverse attributes of India through a virtual trip to India. The young Greenwanians spoke about their school and academics. The queries of the Korean Students related to food habits music school life etc were acknowledged by smart answers of our students. The Bengali Song EKLA CHALO RE, sung by our student was much applauded. This virtual exchange program has given the students of both schools a perfect platform to share unique experiences and deep insights and develops cross-cultural collaborative communication without any boundaries constraints. WELCOMING OF SOUTH KOREAN SCHOOLS FOR ONLINE EXCHANGE
Foreign Exchange Programmes are an integral part of Greenwanians. It is one of the best ways to challenge students to develop a global perspective. It enriches the personal development of students with life-enriching experiences. These interactions have proved to be effective platforms for the exchange of pedagogical practices, networking, imbibing of new styles, building connections, and giving insights into different cultures.
After the overwhelming response of the exchange program, the school proposes to organize the online exchange program with Yeongyang Elementary School for class 5 students & Modding Elementary School from South Korea for class 7 students for four months from June to December 2021.

April 13 &14th marks the New Year for various States in India such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Assam Uttarpradesh, Punjab, etc.

Students of Greenway Modern School celebrated the auspicious festival of Baisakhi on April 13, they were told the significance of both Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti which is observed on April 14 to commemorate the memory of the father of our Constitution Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Also, the teachers explained to the students of their respective classes through virtual mode about the Constitution along with Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.

Greenway Modern School celebrated WORLD HEALTH DAY on 7th April 2021 to spread awareness about global issues. 72ND REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS - 2021
Greenway Modern School celebrated India's 72nd Republic Day virtually wherein the unfurling of the national flag was done by the senior coordinator and students presented different performances like dance, poetry, patriotic song, etc. The patriotism in children could be seen by their energy while performing. COLGATE WORKSHOP ON ZOOM
A Colgate workshop was organized by Greenway Modern School on 13 January 2021 for the primary wing. The workshop was about oral care and dental hygiene habits among children. The students were very excited and participated enthusiastically in the numerous quizzes and puzzles related to oral health. They learned about the importance of keeping teeth strong from within. They were informed about how Colgate toothpaste helps naturally increase calcium in their teeth and that brushing twice a day for two minutes keeps them clean. ONLINE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION - 2020
On 24th December, students of class 9th and 10thE organized a virtual Christmas and New Year celebration. The event was conducted online wherein they witnessed wonderful presentations depicting the importance of Christmas, the Nativity of Jesus, and some lively dances. The principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva graced the event with his blessings and wishes. Even though we couldn't meet the students still it was a well-organized online celebration.
A MOMENTOUS OCCASION

It was a momentous occasion when three students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden won prizes and bagged positions in the competitions held by various schools. Ekansh Pawar of class IV partook in ATL DIY Inter-School Challenge 2020 under the guidance of Ms. Shruti Barman and secured the fourth position out of the 5 best student performers in the class 4 category.

GREENWAY EMBLAZONED E-DIWALI & CHILDREN’S DAY 2020

On 12th November 2020, Greenway Modern School organized a special virtual celebration for Diwali and Children’s Day. The event was conducted online wherein students witnessed a variety of presentations. The event was started with the Children’s Day celebration that was hosted by the teachers for their dear students and the students were shown a child movie, Umeed, followed by a motivational and inspiring song. After that, Diwali celebrations took place wherein the students performed Ganesh Vandana, Poetry, Doha Recitation, Dance and also took an oath to celebrate a Green Diwali. All the branches of the school witnessed the event and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Primary Middle and Senior wing of Greenway Modern school observed the birth anniversary if Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October 2020 THE IRON MAN OF INDIA.

This occasion provided an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity integrity and security of our country.

As it is observed that “Children want the same things we want . To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and delighted”. GMS RELEASES ITS SECOND EDITION OF GREENWAY TIMES
On 6th September 2020, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden released the second edition of its E-newspaper – Greenway Times. After the success of the first edition, the second edition of the newspaper as well achieved a huge success. The newspaper is a wide panorama of the activities conducted by the school from the month of June to September.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION - 2020

A good teacher can ignite the imagination, inspire hope, and instill a love for learning in a child. Teachers' day is celebrated on different days in various countries. In India, teachers' day is celebrated on 5th September every year, which is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India and a staunch educationist.

On 5th September 2020, Greenway Modern School commemorated Teachers Day. The students showed their gratitude towards their teachers by sending them wishes and greetings and messages with love and affection. The management and the principal sent their special Virtual wishes to the entire staff. WEBINAR ON LISTENING SKILLS

A webinar on Listening skills was organized by the primary students of Greenway Modern School, by the renowned speaker Mr. Lucky (from H.T).

He emphasized on listening rather than just hearing. He also explained to the students how it helps in their all-over growth in personality and success in life. He asked the students how to behave while attending a class and with the people around them. Various slides were shown to the children about enhancing this skill.

GMS FREEDOM FEST – ‘SAMARPAN’

‘Where liberty dwells, that is my country – India’

This 74th Independence Day, the whole nation reminded the sacrifices of our valiant freedom fighters who stood up against the colonizers and suffered hard consequences so that the later generations could breathe in free air.

So in honour of the sacrifices and celebrate our independence, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, organized a freedom fest, named ‘Samarpan’ on 13th and 14th August 2020 and the grand finale on 15th August 2020.

The Freedom Fest comprised of several activities held for classes III to XII, namely-Walk of Legacy( for class III, IV, V), Dusk to Dawn-ATale of Chauvinism (for class VI, VII, VIII), A Soldier’s Dream- Monoacting Competition (for class IX, X) and finally Satat, Satat, Nirbhik – Wave of patriotism in youth (for class XI, XII). These activities evoked the spirit of patriotism in each and every member of the school that resulted in dispensing umpteen great performances by the students for all.

On 15th August, the grand finale of the fest was virtually solemnized along with the commemoration of the 74th Independence Day.

There was a flag hoisting ceremony conducted in the school premises in which the Principal of the school unfurled the national flag and few teachers witnessed the glorious moment.There were many performances, presented by the students that beautified the occasion’s aura.

The closing ceremony of the freedom fest was held from 1 to 2 pm. The entire Freedom Fest – ‘Samarpan’ was broadcasted live all over. Witnessing this event, was indeed a great experience for all.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION 2020 - SENIOR WING


On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the enthusiastic students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden celebrated the time by adding their grace of creativity and skills to it. WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY
As per WHO, smoking and smokeless tobacco consuming are some of the factors that make people vulnerable to becoming severely ill with COVID-19. In order to make the people aware, Health and Family Welfare Department of Delhi proposed all the schools to organize certain activities. Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden has also initiated for this good cause and conducted the proposed online activities. The students of the school partook in the movement by making posters, slogans on World No Tobacco Day. The students were made acquainted to the harmful effects of Tobacco. GMS LAUNCHED ITS FIRST E-NEWSPAPER

It is rightly said, ‘Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what the situations are around’ Keeping the same in mind and the passion and determination with them, Greenwanians created another great benchmark to glorify their school.

On 7 June 2020, Greenway Modern School published its first edition of E-newspaper, Greenway Times. It was the lockdown edition. It was a mutual effort of the school’s fervent students and skilled teachers under the able guidance and patronship of the school principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva. The newspaper had all the relevant information about the activities conducted by the school (from academics to non- scholastic activities) in this lockdown period. The effort of the school was praised by the students and parents very much.

EDIFYING ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION

"I don't want to protect the environment, l want to create a world where the environment doesn't need protecting". With this dictum as the guiding light Greenway Modern school virtually celebrated 'World Environment Day,' The basic motive behind the celebration was to make our students understand the need of our 'ailing planet' and do the needful to save it now or never.

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it: thus it's a moral obligation of the schools to enlighten our kids and prepare them for this virtuous duty

The seeds for an understanding and obligation for the environment have to be sown now and today, thus our students were made to take part in a plenitude of activities like, Essay Writing, Message Writing competitions, etc. They enthusiastically participated and beautifully expressed their emotions in the form of messages articles and pictures

They were Also motivated to sow plants in this lockdown period and take care of them of which they shared pics with us

GREENWANIANS MADE THE SCHOOL PROUD

This is another feather added to the school’s cap that six students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, have been selected for ISTO National Round. The students are Amaan Rashid (VA), Kushagra Mishra (XD), Digant Prakash(XD), Divjot Singh Rai (XD), Md. Omar Khan (XIC) and Utkarsh Chaudhary (XIC). ONLINE P.T.M HELD IN GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL ON 16.05.2020

On 16 May, 2020, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, organized its first PTM for the session 2020-21. It was an online PTM wherein Teachers of all the three wings (Primary, Middle and Senior) and the Parents rationally discussed about the academic performance and areas of concern of the students. It was a very interactive session and came out as a fascinating and riveting experience for the staff as well as the parents. The parents partook in the session and interacted with all the subject faculties of their ward and got to know how the students are performing in the virtual classes. All the parents highly appreciated and acknowledged the initiative of the school and adored and praised the efforts of all the teachers put in the virtual teaching learning . Mother’s Day Celebration in Greenway

The day that celebrates the love, teachings, compassion, and essence of a mother is Mother’s Day. The mother-child relationship is a sacred bond. This day is a rejoicement for all the children and there could not be a more universal celebration than to celebrate Mother’s Day. Keeping the same zeal and ebullience, Greenwanians celebrated Mother’s Day at homes. The students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, showered their love and bestowed fealty to their mothers by contributing to making posters, adorable cards, messages filled with innocence and concern, self-composed poems and even proffered their cooking abilities to their mothers by having non-fire cooking at home for them. The students also made beautiful handmade gifts for their mothers and each way of expressing their gratitude was special and unique in their own way. WORLD DANCE DAY 2020

THE POETRY OF THE FOOT-DANCE!
Dance is the hidden language of the soul. To dance is to be out of yourself. World Dance Day or International Dance Day is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of Jean Georges Noverre, the creator of Modern Ballet. On 29 April 2020, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, virtually celebrated World Dance Day amid the nation-wide lockdown due to Coronavirus Pandemic with great avidity, fervor, and rapture. Students of all the three precincts of the school (Primary, Middle, and Senior Wing) exhibited their creativity, dexterity, and love for dance by sending exceptional and artistic posters and their dance videos of various forms. The day was celebrated to instill the value and importance of this art among students, to break the cultural barriers and bring all together with a common language, ‘Dance’. Earth Day Celebrations in GMS
“The Earth is what we all have in common.” Earth Day is the day of celebration and making promises to keep our living planet flourish with the three Hs- Health, Happiness, and Harmony. Earth Day is celebrated to appreciate nature and nurture further its beauty. April 22, 2020, marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, but due to Coronavirus pandemic spread, every nature lover has celebrated it virtually. People around the globe have rallied online to honour our Mother Earth and so have the Greenwanians. All the students of the three wings( Senior, Middle and Primary) of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, have sublimely commemorated the occasion by sending artful, perceptive and creative posters, articles, poems and so on and so forth. While everything is on pause during the lockdown, Greenwanians as nature lovers have come up and showed their gusto and exuberance to celebrate Earth Day and proved that nothing can stop or challenge their fervour and readiness.
So every Greenwanian pledges to keep loving and protecting Mother Nature.

BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATIONS

A special assembly was conducted by the primary section of GMS on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. It started off with a ‘Basanti’ song performed by the little children which was followed by a delightful dance of Saraswati Vandana by the lovely girls. Further the Basanti feeling was enhanced by a beautiful poem recited by a student. This assembly was a fresh advent of the spring season. The students were made to understand the importance of this festival

The tiny tots were dressed in yellow and enjoyed yellow food items in the lunch time.

TRIP TO OH! MAX

Our school organized a fun and frolic trip to newly opened Mojoland and Oh! Max in Sonipat and Noida in the last week of January 2020 for the classes I and VIII.

They got a little refreshment on reaching there. They enjoyed unlimited rides like – Safari Coaster, Swing chair, Sky diver, Techno jump, Rocket Rickshaw, Spanish Bull, Happy Train etc in the amusement park also had a chance to see light and sound music at Taj Mahal, adventure show. After they enjoyed the adventurous activities like- Sky cycling, Tire walk, Commando net, Zip line, Archery etc, students enjoyed on DJ music also. There was arrangement of delicious lunch and snacks also. On the whole it was a successful and quite enjoyable outing. They reached back to school at about 6:00pm. This outing was highly appreciated by the parents also.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

On the auspicious occasion of Republic day, our school organized a celebration of India’s sovereignity and successful completion of 71 Years of Democracy. It was to celebrate India & the spirit of being Indians. Students of primary wing with much zeal, enthusiasm & showed a spirit of nationalism. There was a patriotic song followed by a dance prepared by class I-II students.

Our revered Principal Sir had great pride in unfurling the national flag of country. On account of this celebration the feeling of patriotism among Greenwarians surged to the maximum. The programme was consized yet was able to boost up the energy level of the students. A PROUD MOMENT

The students of Greenway Modern School participated in the Discovery School Super League – powered by BYJU’s (DSSL). In the first round near about 60 Lakh students participated from 17000+ schools across 29 states and 1 UT (Delhi NCR). It was a proud moment Mayank Saini IV-B, Aarav Goel V – B, Nikahil Sharma VI – D and Parmeet Singh VII – F were the grade toppers of Round – 1 and Nikhil Sharma of VI - D and Parmeet Singh of VII F qualified for the 2nd Round. The Principal of the school Mr Mohit Sachdeva gave away the prizes to these students and Congratulated them.

SCHOLARS DAY

On 13 November 2019, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden organized its Scholars’ Day of primary wing to honour and acknowledge excellence of its students in academics. The meritorious students of Primary Wing were felicitated with trophies and certificatification. The programme was an amalgamation of cultural activities as well as felicitation of the little scholars. The Chairperson Ms. Sudesh Sachdeva and The Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva welcomed the eminent chief guest, the Director of Korean Cultural Centre Ms. Kim Kum Pyoung, Korean Language Teacher – Jeong Eun Kyeng and Ms Shiny from Korean Cultural Centre who graced the occasion.

The event was festooned with some adorning cultural performances also. The school choir and band presented the Korean Folk Song ‘Arirang’ that is often considered to be the anthem of Korea and sung for its brave soldiers. A special solo performance was given by Nikita of class XII who sang a beautiful song that prettified the occasion.

This year, Greenway zealously ushered to conduct Korean Language Learning classes by a Korean Professional in which students ardently partook and were extolled on the occasion through certificates. This year, Greeenway has also been given an accolade, the British Council Award and has also been given a golden opportunity to present a presentation in its Award Ceremony to be held on 6 Dec’19, based on the learning conceived through the ISA projects by the students and the same presentation of the students glamorized the stage and ennobled the occasion.

In the end, the Principal of the school, Mr Mohit Sachdeva gave a vote of thanks and emboldened the meritorious tiny tots and their parents to keep working hard in life and achieve success.

EKTA DIWAS

The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Patel, which is being observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, which gives us an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength, was celebrated at Greenway Modern School, and the following activities were done.

  • A pledge was taken to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
  • Unity run, March past by the NCC cadets was also organized.

In addition to above, Essay writing and various other activities were also done.

SCIENCE ACTIVITY – COOKING WITHOUT FIRE

A Science activity was held on 25th October 2019 in which Class V students prepared different nutritious food without fire. Students enjoyed this activity a lot and participated enthusiastically. They learnt different skills related to Home Science. They managed each and everything by themselves and cooked very delicious food, which were mouthwatering and the presentation of the food was creative. Click here for more photographs

Janmashtami Celebration

Birthday of Lord Krishna “Janmashtami” was celebrated by all the three wings, Primary, Middle and Senior.

Special dance performances were given by students depicting his “Leelas” and laid the importance of the occasion. Students of classes I and II were dressed up as Radha and Krishna.

The “tableau” was set up where Lord Krishna and his friend Sudama's importance was shown. The Principal blessed all the students. His words lifted the mood of all the students and teachers. Click here for more photographs.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION - PRIMARY WING

Rakhi making activity was conducted in the primary wing on 13.08.19, the students brought different kinds of materials to draw and make rakhies. They all decorated the rakhi beautifully. HORLICKS ACTIVITY – 09-05-2019

The extra Horlicks settling beneath the glass of milk is no less than finding out the treasure from the deep ocean for kids!!!

It was like a feast when the students from classes I to VI of School were given an opportunity by Horlicks Pvt Limited to enjoy their favourite health drink even in school. It was an activity conducted by Horlicks in the school wherein the students were provided free samples of the drink to consume making their day cool, energizing and refreshing. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION FOR GRADE I AND GRADE II - 22-04-2019


Earth Day was celebrated by the Students of Grade I and II at Greenway Modern School on 22nd April’19.

DRAWING COMPETITION FOR GRADE -2


A drawing competition was held at Greenway Modern School on 12.4.19 for class II. All the students of class II participated in this competition. Two different pictures of heritage were given to the students to colour it. They all coloured the pictures very beautifully and neatly. Students enjoyed this competition as they all love colouring. A BALANCED FOOD ACTIVITY- CLASS IV - 08.09.2018

Balanced Food Activity was organized in class IV by E.V.S Teacher Mrs. Sunita Chopra, to give knowledge of all the five food groups in our diet. Traditional cuisines are better than junk food. Each group had four students of four nutrients. Students displayed the cutlery talent and enjoyed doing this activity. It was the time for sharing also.

The students realized the value of good habits to stay healthy. Avoid junk food eat healthy food we should not waste food also take only as much food as you can eat, This was the motto of this activity. The students were also taught Cleanliness is also very important in the cooking food items.

To remain healthy, we need all the nutrients in right amount. The students enjoyed this activity.

JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS - 2018 PRIMARY
To celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, we celebrate the festival of Janmashtami all over the country. The Assembly was conducted to celebrate this festival by the Primary Department on 31st August, 2018 in the school premises. It started with Lord Krishna’s Bhajans and prayers. After that, students of Classes I – V presented a dance programme. A skit presentation depicting one of the Lord Krishna’s Leela with Maa Yashoda ji was presented. All the participants were looking very beautiful in their vibrant costumes. Everybody appreciated the programme.


MATHEMATICS QUIZ COMPETITION - CLASS I

On 30th July, 2018 Maths Quiz was organized for Class I. Through this activity students got the chance to explore their knowledge and play with numbers.

All the students enthusiastically participated in the competition. There were 5 rounds for 5 teams. Each team included 3 students for this activity. The teachers who encouraged the students were Ms. Kalpana Dagar, Ms. Tanu Negi, Ms. Jyoti Sharma, Ms. Chandni and Ms. Tannu.

WINKIE ORGANIZED AN ACTIVITY FOR CLASSES I AND II - 16.07.2018
A renowned company organized an activity for Classes I and II wherein they showed a cartoon character of ‘Winkie’ who shook hands with students. They were very excited to see him and children enjoyed the delicacies of Winkie Cakes as a token of love to their mother. They were told to share the Cakes with her. They understood the importance of Mother, sharing and caring in their life.

SUMMER CAMP (HOBBY CLASSES) - 14th May - 26th May 2018
During this summer vacation, the school has organized hobby classes for the primary wing Classes I to V. The classes include Art, Dance and Calligraphy for the improvement of the handwriting of the students. The focus of the camp is to brush up the talent of the students, utilize their time in a positive way, moulding them into true learners. The classes are going on full-fledged with children participating in them enthusiastically.
