Introduction: 
In accordance with the circular from SCERT (5434-41, dt. 2nd September 2024), our school enthusiastically celebrated Literacy Week from 3rd to 7th September 2024. The primary objective was to inculcate strong reading habits among our primary-wing students. The campaign was designed to foster a love for reading, creativity, and self-expression. The students involved themselves into various activities

Storytelling Sessions: Students actively participated in storytelling sessions, showcasing their creativity and imagination. They narrated stories with enthusiasm, using props and expressions.

Creative Expressions: Students expressed their thoughts and ideas through various art forms, such as drawing, painting, and writing. This activity encouraged them to think creatively and connect with the stories.

Buddy Reading: Students paired up for buddy reading sessions, taking turns to read and listen to each other. This activity promoted teamwork, communication, and a sense of camaraderie.

Story Creation: Students were shown a card with a prompt, and they enthusiastically created their own stories. This activity sparked their imagination and creativity.

The Literacy Week celebration was a resounding success, with students actively participating in various activities. The campaign achieved its objective of instilling a love for reading and creativity among our primary wing students. We are confident that this initiative will have a lasting impact, shaping our students into avid readers and creative thinkers.

On 6th September 2024, our school had the privilege of hosting a Road Safety Awareness Program conducted by the Delhi Traffic Police. We were honored to have ASI Ram Vir Singh and Mr. Ajay Tomar visit our campus to educate our students on the vital importance of road safety.

Using a mobile van as an interactive learning tool, the team effectively explained essential road safety rules, measures to be taken while crossing roads, and the significance of wearing helmets. They also emphasized the importance of using zebra crossings and other safety measures. The session was highly engaging, informative, and enjoyable for our students, who actively participated and absorbed the valuable lessons shared. Our school community is grateful to the Delhi Traffic Police for imparting this crucial knowledge to our students.

We sincerely thank ASI Ram Vir Singh, Mr. Ajay Tomar, and the Delhi Traffic Police team for their efforts in promoting road safety awareness among our students. Their dedication to this cause is commendable; we look forward to the future. Through this program, we aim to instill responsible and safe behaviors among our students, ensuring they become mindful road users and ambassadors of road safety in their communities.

Imbuing a passion for leading and preparing gesture pioneers, a nation’s future is written by its young children and they have their pens poised. Bestowing responsibilities and duties on the young shoulders is the best way to propagate invincible determination grit and courage to help steer success with this noble objective a grand Investiture ceremony was organized in Greenway Modern School on 2.09.2024, Where the school Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, and school Academic Coordinator Mrs. Anuja Jaitley conferred the badges to the members of the student guild. In addition to the badge, these young leaders were also given the sash and respective house flags which they held with pride and honor. Marching towards the stage, first came the House Captains, Head Boys and Head Girls, and then Secretaries.
Akarshit and Deveshi Kaita were selected as the Head Boy and Head Girl with 16 other students who succeeded in their allegiance to work for the school.

National Sports Day is celebrated annually on August 29th to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary Indian hockey player. This day promotes sports and physical fitness among citizens, especially children. As per the CBSE circular dated August 23rd, 2024, our school, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, organized a series of events to celebrate National Sports Day.

The main objectives were;

- To create awareness about the importance of sports and physical fitness
- To encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle
- To develop teamwork and sportsmanship among students

Students took a collective pledge to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prioritize sports in their daily routines.
- Volleyball tournament: Students participated in an intra-school volleyball tournament, showcasing their teamwork and skills.
- Throwball competition: A throwball competition was organized, emphasizing the importance of hand-eye coordination and agility.
- Kho-kho match: A Kho-kho match was played, highlighting the significance of speed, agility, and strategy.
- Spoon race: A spoon race was conducted, focusing on balance and coordination.
- 100-meter running: Students participated in a 100-meter running event, emphasizing the importance of speed and endurance.


The National Sports Day celebration at Greenway Modern School was a resounding success. Students actively participated in various events, demonstrating their understanding of the importance of sports in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The celebration aimed to inspire students to prioritize physical fitness and sportsmanship, aligning with the CBSE's vision of promoting holistic education.
