As it is observed that “Children want the same things we want . To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and delighted”. Keeping in mind the above thought, an exciting and fun session with Sony Yay! was organized by our school for all the students of classes  III to V to make them have some fun and learning with their favourite Sony Yay! toons.

A workshop on “Integration of Artin Education” was conducted by MsSwapna Nair On September 19, 2020.

The training session started with a discussion on the importance of arts It was followed by Bloom's Taxonomy. The presenter shared the importance of art integrated teaching and how it helps to build critical thinking and provides connective learning. She also told about the various forms of art that can be included in various subjects. She also gave many examples of art integration.

Various ways of assessment were also explained by her. She also told about the assessment tools that can be used by the teachers for assessing the work of students

In conclusion, MsSwapna Nair emphasized on the need of art integrated learning for a better understanding of concepts.

The webinar taught us how to switch over from content-based education to competency-based education.

A virtual Life Skill activity of 'Cooking Corn' was organized for our little chefs of Pre School and Pre Primary on 15th September 2020. Parents were informed in advance to keep all the ingredients ready. The teachers gave a demo to the children on MS Team. They showed them how to mix all the ingredients mentioned and prepare tasty sweet corn. Our little chefs participated with great enthusiasm and really enjoyed the activity.

Greenway Modern School organized a workshop on Road Safety Rules on 16th Sept 2020.It was conducted by ASI Ramveer Sharma & Mr. Ajay Kumar as the resource persons from the Delhi Traffic Police, Road Safety Cell.

They enlightened the students about the traffic rules & stated the Dos & Don'ts of road safety through a Ppt making the sessions lively & interesting.

The workshop was quite informative & awakening for the students to know how important certain things are as pedestrians & riders which needs to be followed for our safety.

LEMONADE PARTY HELD ON 08.09.2020

To introduce sweet and sour taste to the tiny tots and also to make them aware of this healthy drink, a 'Lemonade Party' was organized for the students of Pre - School, and Pre - Primary on 8th September 2020. The children were sent the recipe and parents were asked to help children in preparing the drink. 

Toddlers enjoyed this learning process. They were asked to send pictures while preparing and drinking lemonade. 

The idea behind this activity was to make the little ones understand the importance of drinking lemonade in summers rather than other beverages available in the market.

GMS RELEASES ITS SECOND EDITION OF GREENWAY TIMES

On 6^th September 2020, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden released the second edition of its E-newspaper – Greenway Times. After the success of the first edition, the second edition of the newspaper as well achieved a huge success. The newspaper is a wide panorama of the activities conducted by the school from the month of June to September.

TEACHERS DAY 2020

Teachers Day this year was celebrated online at Greenway Nursery School, amid the Covid-19 pandemic restriction, but that had not dampened the enthusiasm among students despite limitations.

Kids prepared posters and cards to show their love for teachers.  Some wore Sarees and imitated their teachers.  Children recited poems, sang songs, sent “thank you” voice notes, to express their love and thanks to teachers.

Teachers were overwhelmed by these responses.

GMS CELEBRATED TEACHERS DAY

A good teacher can ignite the imagination, inspire hope, and instill a love for learning in a child. Teachers' day is celebrated on different days in various countries. In India, teachers' day is celebrated on 5th September every year, which is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India and a staunch educationist.

On 5^th September 2020, Greenway Modern School commemorated Teachers Day. The students showed their gratitude towards their teachers by sending them wishes and greetings and messages with love and affection. The management and the principal sent their special Virtual wishes to the entire staff. The students of class XII 2020-21 batch, paid a tribute to each and every teacher and saluted their efforts by creating a video for them and expressing how they miss them.
