It is really another feather added to the glory of Greenway Modern School's cap that a student of class IX, Palak Panwar won the third position in Senior Category and a cash prize of Rs. 3100  in the 28th Bhakti Singing Competition virtually organized by Greenfields Public School. The principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva congratulated the winner and her family and the mentor teacher on this big achievement. 

Christmas is the festival that inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas tiny tots of Greenway Nursery School celebrated the festival with enthusiasm on December 23, 2020.

Several activities such as decorating Christmas Trees and Stockings, making Christmas Cards and Hand-crafted bells, painting snowman with fingerprinting, etc were organized for the students. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas story.

The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots as they were encouraged to exchange gifts with the ones in need. 

The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.

On 26th December 2020, class X students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden got an opportunity to attend a career counseling session by the renowned Counsellor, Gold medalist, Dr. Anubhuti Sehgal. The students were given the best guidance on how to choose an appropriate stream in class XI to get an appropriate career in the future. The students were enlightened to all the aspects of the best career building and different, interesting courses that Science, Commerce and Arts students in their own respective field, can opt for. The students were also made informed about the colleges/institutions and universities to get admission in the future. The students were encouraged to analyze their strengths areas and interest in any particular field to build a fruitful and prosperous career. The questions and queries put up by the students were very well resolved and answered by Dr. Anubhuti. It was really a very instructive and edifying session.

On 24th December, students of class 9th and 10thE organized a virtual Christmas and New Year celebration. The event was conducted online wherein they witnessed wonderful presentations depicting the importance of Christmas, the Nativity of Jesus, and some lively dances. The principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva graced the event with his blessings and wishes. Even though we couldn't meet the students still it was a well-organized online celebration.

It was a momentous occasion when three students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden won prizes and bagged positions in the competitions held by various schools. Ekansh Pawar of class IV partook in ATL DIY Inter-School Challenge 2020 under the guidance of Ms. Shruti Barman and secured the fourth position out of the 5 best student performers in the class 4 category.

Aryan Sharma of class XII and Divyansh Mutreja of class IX also, won laurels for the school by securing a position in TECHNOVISION 2020 ATL Tinker Fest organized by Bal Bhavan International School. Aryan Sharma secured the First Position in the event  Creative Edge and Divyansh Mutreja secured the Second position in the event Web Designing. The winners were guided by Ms. Poonam Makhija and Ms. Sana Khan. It was really a proud moment for the school.

The principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva congratulated the achievers and the teachers and praised their efforts.

RUSSIAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME AT GMS

On 21 December 2020, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, successfully conducted the second virtual session of a cultural exchange programme with Russia wherein the students and teachers of both the representative schools interacted with each other. In the session, the students of Greenway presented the PPTs, videos, live demonstrations on Art and Craft and Food of India to make the Russian students know about the same and understand Indian culture. It was really a great session. 

On 16th December 2020, the students of class IX to XI of GMS got an opportunity to attend a webinar organized by the team of IBM Open P- Tech Programme wherein the students learnt about AI(Artificial Intelligence)and its uses in different fields. There were professional mentors who taught the students how to go with the courses of the programme and complete them to get e-badges and e-certificates.

It was an open platform for the students to interact and get answers to their queries and doubts related to the programme. 

Overall, it was a highly informative session.
