During this Pandemic The Primary wing of Greenway Modern School  organized Intra School for their Students. All the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.  It was not easy to select the winners.

CREATIVITY GALORE AT GREENWAYS ENGLISH CLUB

In these tough times, it is imperative to provide new and innovative opportunities to keep the thrill and throb alive in the students and keep them engaged in productive learning. Thus the English Club of Greenway provided such an ingenious and expressive activity to the language learners brushing up their inventive skills and artistic flair.

Students were shown trigger videos on the topic EXTENDING A HELPING HAND along with a short-class-discussion by their English teachers. In turn, students were encouraged to prepare their videos in any creative way they wished in order to bring out their knack of creativity and to instill a feeling of helpfulness 

Students came up with brilliant ideas, extremely innovative, and interesting. Total 78 videos were submitted and they were further shared on YouTube channel of the club

A handful of thought-provoking videos were shared on the school website as well.ln, all it proved to be quite novel and challenging activity.

 

 The second activity taken up simultaneously in the month of July was newsroom debate. Students were divided into small groups of 6 each and a variety of interesting topics were given for debating and the students were supposed to choose any of the topics or were even allowed to come forth with there own relevant topics. The activity was conducted live during online classes giving 10 minutes to each group to present their views the activity came out more successful than anticipated. The preparation done by the students, the ideas presented their confidence and enthusiasm were all commendable. This activity helped to break the monotony of Classroom teaching and also encouraged student's to present their view's before the whole class in a very confident manner

    GREENWANIANS PLEDGED FOR A GOOD CAUSE

    As per WHO, smoking and smokeless tobacco consuming are some of the factors that make people vulnerable to becoming severely ill with COVID-19.  In order to make the people aware, Health and Family Welfare Department of Delhi proposed all the schools to organize certain activities. Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden has also initiated for this good cause and conducted the proposed online activities. The students of the school partook in the movement by making posters, slogans on World No Tobacco Day. The students were made acquainted to the harmful effects of Tobacco. The teachers, students and other staff of the school took an oath to not use or let anyone use tobacco

    Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden organised Tree Plantation Pakhwada (13 July – 26 July 2020) for the NCC and Greenway cadets who participated actively in the activities conducted for the drive. The 20 cadets of the school partook in different activities like self - composed poems, poster making and planted different saplings to make the surrounding green. These cadets showed their zeal and enthusiasm to the fullest to participate in the drive and learned the importance of planting trees to support life and maintain biodiversity. It was worth learning experience for all the students

      A virtual workshop was organized in Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden for the girls and their mothers of class VI and VII. Ms. Bhawna, the resource person spoke about the problems confronted by girls during the periods and the importance of hygiene during this time.

      This unique workshop was organized by Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited for girls to educate them and make them understand the importance of Health and Hygiene especially during menstruation. The aim of this program is to help girls to understand the changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge the growth and development. It also aims to teach the girls about the best practices in hygiene during the period.

       Around  250 girls with their mother attended this workshop in 3 Slots of one hour each. The resource person also told about the proper and safe disposal of sanitary pads as good menstrual hygiene is crucial for the health, education, and dignity of girls and women. It was followed by a question-answer session where the queries of girls and their mothers we're taken up by the resource person

        Webinar Report: Emotional Intelligence in a Time of Uncertainty by Lucky Puchhrat

        A webinar was organized by Greenway Modern School on 15th July 2020 by HT resource person Mr. Lucky Puchhrat on Emotional intelligence.

        “The importance of emotional intelligence has rarely been very acute as during a crisis especially what is being experienced during the period of uncertainty that surrounds COVID-19”

        Under the heading of ‘Emotional Intelligence in a Time of Uncertainty,’ Lucky focused on the deepening of awareness at an emotional level from dealing with personal emotions as a leader, the emotions of teams, the emotions of families, and those around us.

        He began by explaining the roles and structure of our brains.  The limbic system is where emotions are experienced and EQ requires effective communication between rational and emotional brain.  Our best and our worst experiences are associated with our emotions.

        This webinar taught us how to utilize emotional intelligence more effectively through self-assessment and skill development exercises. Viewers learned strategies that will increase their ability to engage with others and expand their influence.

          ACHIEVERS OF CLASS X C.B.S.E. EXAM -2019-2020

          CBSE ACHIEVERS CLASS X SESSION 2019-20

          This year, the bright and diligent students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden have made the school proud with the 100% result in class 10th.

          The school toppers Saema Haider and Yanshi Sharma have scored 99.2%.

          The Second toppers Khushi Chaudhary and NayanKotnala have scored 98% and the third toppers Aman Bhardwaj and Kislay Kumar have scored 97.6%

          Saema Haider and Yanshi Sharma scored perfect 100 in English and Hindi.

          Shubh Gohil, Kislay Kumar, Dishant Panday, Manan Aggarwal, Saema Haider, and Yanshi Sharma scored perfect 100 in Mathematics.

          Medha Singhal scored highest marks (90%) in Basic Maths.

          A total of 8 students scored the highest marks (99%) in Science and 2 students scored the highest marks (98%) in Social Science.

          A total of 31 students scored 95% in aggregate and 82 students scored 90% and above in aggregate.

          It was a great achievement for all the students and the school. The Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva highly praised the efforts of all the students and congratulated all the parents and teachers on this remarkable success.

          ACHIEVERS OF CBSE RESULTS – 2019-20

          This year, the brilliant students of Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden has made the school proud with the 100% result in class 12th.

          The school topper Pragya Pal (Humanities stream) has scored 97.8%.

          Sarthak Mittal, the Commerce stream topper has scored 97.4% and Sameeksha, the Science stream topper has scored 97.2%.

          Prottush Das has scored perfect 100 in Mathematics and Ananya Nair has scored perfect 100 in Psychology.

          54 students have scored more than 90%.

          It was a great achievement for all the students and the school. The Principal, Mr Mohit Sachdeva highly praised the efforts of all the students and congratulated all the parents and the teachers on this big success.

            GREENWAY ACHIEVED ANOTHER ACCOLADE

            Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden got its another finest hour when two fervent and skilled students of the school were acknowledged for their brilliance and hard work by ICAI(Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), the Second Largest Accounting body in the World, which provides many career opportunities to the students in various fields and also gives scholarships to deserving ones. The two students of the school participated in the Commerce Olympiad conducted by ICAI. Stuti Goel of XII D(2019-20 batch) has got  81st rank all over India and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000/- and Meghdeep of class XI(2019-20 batch) has got 141st rank all over India. The objective of the exam was to gauge the skills, abilities, and knowledge of the students and identify their talent and embolden them towards Commerce Education.

            The Principal of the school, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva commended the efforts of the students. It was indeed a proud moment for the school!

              ACTIVITIES and ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE

              Life has become very unpredictable but the zeal and enthusiasm of Greenwanians have not lowered during this lockdown time also.
              * The ATL team of school has been working very hard. The students are participating in all the competitions. To boost up the morale of students, the ATL Core group of teachers held Intra School Competition wherein the students came up with innovative ideas, and the best 5 ideas were put in AIM, ATL WALL PAGE, and the students' ideas were appreciated by ATL INNOVATION MISSION DIRECTOR, DR.RAMMANA.
              *The School has started its Online English Club wherein the students can come up with their ideas and creativity.
              *Time to time the teachers and students are attending various workshops to enrich their knowledge.
              Mithali Upadhyaya of class 12th participated in
              Writing competition and won the first position. The School of Planning and Architecture in collaboration with ENVIS RP had organized this competition.
              Dakshita Upadhyaya and Sweta Saxenaof 12th D  participated in Commerce Fest held at GD Goenka  Public School and brought laurels by winning cash prize and certificate.  Nitya Aggarwal also participated in the commerce fest held at Lovely Public School A PROUD MOMENT INDEED.
              Environment Day on 5th June was celebrated wherein the students participated in the Essay poem and drew Posters to create awareness.
              *The students celebrated Father's Day and International Yoga Day with a lot of  Enthusiasm.
              The school gave respect to the warriors of the country who are continuously serving the country in the form of a video.
