05.04.2018 – The Principal of the School Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, Welcomes the Students for the Academic Session 2018 – 2019 on a very positive note. Best students award from NIE  “Times of India’ was given to ‘Ms.  Priya Khulbe for the Session 2017 – 2018.

10.04.2018 – A counseling session for Class X was held with regard to how to choose the stream and what are the career options. The Speaker was Dr. Anubhuti Sehgal.

13.04.2018 – Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with great zeal by all the three wings Primary, Middle and Seniors in the Assembly, wherein the students threw light on the importance of Baisakhi along with that how the festival is celebrated in different parts of the country

13.4.2018 – To inculcate the reading habits, Inter-house newspaper competition was held. They were judged on the basis of their pronunciation, confidence and clarity. The winner was Satakshi Dutta  (VIII E) of Peace House.  Vaibhav Srivastav (VIII B) of Harmony House got the second position.   Chavi Singhal of Purity  House and Drishti of Love House also participated in this competition.

18.04.2018 – Mother’s Meet was held for Classes I and II to acquaint the Mothers with the new class teachers and the teaching methodology of the new class.

NSD SHOW FOR CLASS XII -  To make the students aware that inner beauty is everything, a show was organized to make them realize that having confidence in oneself is more important than anything else in life. Also they can choose theatre as one of the options for their career.

ASTRONOMY CLUB SARISKA  VISIT - The young astronomers of Club Kritika and Kalpana visited Sariska on 20th April, 2018, This time the trip was multi-dimensional . The students had the experience of organic farming, rainwater harvesting, rich culture of Rajasthani Folk Music and Dance and at night they traced many Celestial bodies with the help of high resolving power telescope.

 World Dance Day -  The Primary, Middle and Senior Wing celebrated World Dance Day with zeal and enthusiasm.  Dance is an integral part of every human life, it is a way through which we can express our emotions.    The Primary Wing had an Inter-House competition where-in they presented different forms of dances like Bihu, Bangra, Lavani,  etc.  The Peace House emerged as the winners and runners-up were Love House and Harmony House. Purity House also participated with great enthusiasm.   The Middle Wing and the Senior Wing acquainted the students with various forms of dances from contemporary to Indian Classical.

Primary Activities  :

To improve the handwriting and develop their motor skills an handwriting competition was held for Classes I & V was held and the winners were given appreciation certificates

Poem Recitation Competition – An Inter-class was organized for Class I  to make the students  confident in their speaking skills and the winners  were  given appreciation certificates .

Tree Plantation – To save the earth a Tree Plantation drive was done and the students were explained the importance of growing trees and how they can save the environment

Poster Making Competition – An Inter-House Poster Making Competition was held  to save the mother earth.  The winners were Shrishti – VIII E and Abhiram – VIII A from Peace House and the Runners up were Niket Singh – VIII C and Sanya 0 VII D from Purity House.  Sourabh, Mehar – VIII D, Harsh Talan, Palak Yadav - VIII C from Love and Harmony house also actively participated.

Road Safety – A road safety campaign was held  to make students aware about the road safety rules and the measures which they have to take while crossing / driving.   Classes I to V made beautiful drawings. Students of Classes VI to VIII did a questioner and Classes IX to XII described an event, created stories and  gave speeches on how important road safety is.

        Greenway School epitomized the celebration of formal schooling years of the tiny tots of the Nursery Wing with the Graduation Ceremony. The Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony was held on 22nd March 2018. The event was marked by the presentation of degrees to the tiny tots who are ready to enter a new phase of formal learning leaving behind the cozy pre-school years. This gala event was graced by the presence of eminent guest – honorable Vice-Principal Sir – Mr. Tarun Sachdeva, SHO Seemapuri Police Station, Mr Sanjeev Kumar. The event commenced with a mesmerizing welcome song.  The Greenwanians were awarded degrees for their exemplary performances in academics and co-curricular activities. The event culminated with the gratitude speech by school Vice-Principal – Mr. Tarun Sachdeva.

          EARTH DAY - NURSERY WING

          Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in our school programme, for the holistic development of the child. Keeping this in view, the Pre Primary sections conducted a Fancy Dress Competition on Monday, 23rd April 2018 based on the theme, Earth Day – Save Trees, Save Water and Save Electricity.  All the students were dressed in colourful and innovative dresses and spoke what they had learnt about the environment.

           The students of Pre School were dressed in green colour dresses.  They were informed about the importance of Earth Day & how to save trees, water & electricity.  A Green walk was also organized.  Students made colourful banners, reading “Go Green”, “Save Trees”, “Save Water”, etc.  Children learnt the importance of preserving planet earth.

            RED COLOUR DAY - NURSERY

            Colour Red signifies brightness, joy, love and happiness and that’s what reflected on the faces of Pre-School students.  Red Colour Day was celebrated in school on 27th April 2018.

            All teachers and students came dressed up in red clothes and brought mostly red colour things.

            Special assembly was conducted with emphasis on significance of red colour.  Several objects of red colour were displayed.  Students were excited to see and learn about different objects and items which are red in colour.

            Students did paper tearing and pasting activity in a “strawberry”.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their practical learning experience.

                            BAISAKHI CELEBRATION-NURSERY WING

                            Baisakhi was celebrated on Friday 13th April 2018 in the School. Children were told about the importance of harvest festival.  Children were dressed in traditional / yellow colour dresses. They tapped their feet on the beats of Punjabi songs.  They also brought Frooti Drink.

                            The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.

                              ORIENTATION PROGRAM 2018 – 2019 OF NURSERY

                              The Orientation Programme  for the parents of Nursery Class children was held on 2nd April, 2018. The School Vice- Principal, Mr. Tarun Sachdeva, welcomed the parents.  The Nursery In-charge Ms. Roopali Hamilton, talked about the school policies and ways to help the children adjust in the school environment.

                              The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a formal welcome of our guests, Dr. Ravi Malik, Mr. Ram Singh ACP – Seemapuri Police Station and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar SHO – Seemapuri Police Station.

                              Our guest speaker Dr. Ravi Malik, enlightened the your Parents on the Joy of Parenting and Nurturing Child’s Aptitude. He emphasized the role of the parents in shaping their children especially in the crucial years of their growth.  He motivated all the  parents to spend quality time  with their children and give constant encouragement and support to them.

                              Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, SHO – Seemapuri  Police Station, talked about safety of students in the school and at home.

                              The programme proceeded with the budding dancers of Pre-school presenting an ethereal and spirited invocation dance. The programme ended with the introduction of the class teachers and Nursery Syllabus, to the parents.
