Deepawali or Diwali, the festival of light symbolizes the victory of good over evil and the glory of light. The students of Pre School & Pre Primary celebrated Diwali on 2nd November 2018 in the school.  The teachers decorated the school with vibrant rangoli designs.  The whole school was enlightened with diyas.  The children came to school dressed in orange coloured clothes, excited and awaiting for the celebration.  The celebration began with students wishing everyone “Happy Diwali” followed by Ganesh and Laxmi Vandana.  Students of Pre School were dressed up as Hanuman & presented an exemplary dance. The students of Pre Primary presented a foot tapping folk dance to match rhythm with the rituals.  The program concluded with the benign presence of Ms. Soumya Ma’am performing Laxmi Puja and also explaining students the importance of Diwali.  She appreciated the students for their performances and reminded each one how it is important to celebrate Diwali in a clean, green and healthy way.



Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students of Pre School and Pre Primary.  All students came dressed in yellow coloured dress.  The students danced on Krishna songs.  The school was decorated with “Phool Bangla”,  “Krishna Jhoola”, etc.  Students celebrated the occasion by dancing on Krishna songs.  “Dahi Handi” event was also organized to mark the mischievous nature of ‘Bal Gopal’.  A “chappan bhog” was organized by the teacher which was enjoyed by all after the Krishna Aarti.



Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers & sisters.  Raksha Bandhan was celebrated by the tiny tots of Greenway Nursery School on 24-08-2018.  The teachers explained the significance of the festival in their respective classes while the excited girls tied the Rakhi around the wrist of the boys who gave chocolates to girls in exchange.


Nursery Wing celebrated Independence Day on Monday, 13th August 2018 in the school with great enthusiasm and respect.  The students of Pre School dressed up as freedom fighters and remembered with gratitude the sacrifices made by them.  Students of Pre Primary danced on patriotic songs.  Soumya Mam unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.  Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our county and make it a better place for all of us to live in.


English Rhyme Competition For Pre-school And Pre-primary - 30th And 31st July 2018
Rhymes add rhythm and melody in Pre School education.  English Rhyme Recitation competition was organized for the students of Pre School and Pre Primary.  The young ones looked stunning in colourful attires.  Children recited rhymes on many current topics like save water, go green, etc.  The props also enhanced their creativity.  Children really gained confidence through this exposure.  Everyone was amazed after seeing their performance. Click here to view more photographs.

In order to make children aware of uses of waste material and to give them a lesson on reducing waste to save our future, a “Best out of Waste Model Exhibition” was organized for students of classes Pre School and Pre Primary.  Mind-blowing fabulous ideas were presented by the students.  Right from old CD’s old bottle caps to old towels, every waste material was used.  Projects on means of Transport, Places of worship, Animal homes, etc. were all  displayed in the Exhibition.  The Exhibition was kept open for all the parents and students to see on the PTM during the school hours.  The Exhibition was graced by Ruchi Mam who praised the efforts of the students and motivated them.



Table Manners Activity was organized for the student of class Pre School. A short skit was presented by the teachers to teach the children about healthy food habits and table manners, etc. Students made Table mats with the help of teachers out of colourful papers & were taught the correct placement of plate, spoon, glass, napkin, etc on the table.

MANGO PARTY - 18.07.2018

It was a perfect day to celebrate the season of the king of fruits “Mango” in the form of a Mango Party.  Teachers introduced different types of Mangoes to the students, in the morning assembly.  Children were introduced to different varieties of Mangoes like Dussehri, Safeda, Langda, Chausa etc.  They were told the difference between ripe and raw Mangoes and different dishes prepared with them.  Children really enjoyed eating mangoes.

LEMONADE PARTY - 13.07.2018
Students of Pre School and Pre Primary had lemonade party in school this summer.

RAINY DAY PARTY – 07.07.2018

To beat the heat of the summer a ‘Rain Dance Party’ was organized for Pre School & Pre Primary students. The tiny tots danced to the thrilling music which infused the atmosphere with energy and fun.  Rain brings happiness and smile and so did the Rain Dance Party.


BLUE COLOUR DAY - 04.05.2018
The Pre School celebrated Blue Color Day on 04.05.2018.  It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots.  The dress code, for teachers as well as students was blue.

Excitement and enthusiasm was visible everywhere.  All the children came dressed up in different shades of blue.  The classrooms were decorated with blue balloons.  The little ones made as elephant through cotton dabbing. Students were made to recognize blue color through different games and activities.

It was a visual treat to see the good effects of blue color on our little ones.

RED COLOUR DAY - 27.04.2018
Colour Red signifies brightness, joy, love and happiness and that’s what reflected on the faces of Pre-School students.  Red Colour Day was celebrated in school on 27th April 2018.

All teachers and students came dressed up in red clothes and brought mostly red colour things.

Special assembly was conducted with emphasis on significance of red colour.  Several objects of red colour were displayed.  Students were excited to see and learn about different objects and items which are red in colour.

Students did paper tearing and pasting activity in a “strawberry”.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their practical learning experience.


EARTH DAY - 23.04.2018
Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in our school programme, for the holistic development of the child. Keeping this in view, the Pre Primary sections conducted a Fancy Dress Competition on Monday, 23rd April 2018 based on the theme, Earth Day – Save Trees, Save Water and Save Electricity.  All the students were dressed in colourful and innovative dresses and spoke what they had learnt about the environment.

The students of Pre School were dressed in green colour dresses.  They were informed about the importance of Earth Day & how to save trees, water & electricity.  A Green walk was also organized.  Students made colourful banners, reading “Go Green”, “Save Trees”, “Save Water”, etc.  Children learnt the importance of preserving planet earth.

Baisakhi was celebrated on Friday 13th April 2018 in the School. Children were told about the importance of harvest festival.  Children were dressed in traditional / yellow colour dresses. They tapped their feet on the beats of Punjabi songs.  They also brought Frooti Drink.

The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage. 

Orientation Programme  02-04-2018

The Orientation Programme  for the parents of Nursery Class children was held on 2nd April, 2018. The School Vice- Principal, Mr. Tarun Sachdeva, welcomed the parents.  The Nursery In-charge Ms. Roopali Hamilton, talked about the school policies and ways to help the children adjust in the school environment.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a formal welcome of our guests, Dr. Ravi Malik, Mr. Ram Singh ACP – Seemapuri Police Station and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar SHO – Seemapuri Police Station.

Our guest speaker Dr. Ravi Malik, enlightened the your Parents on the Joy of Parenting and Nurturing Child’s Aptitude. He emphasized the role of the parents in shaping their children especially in the crucial years of their growth.  He motivated all the  parents to spend quality time  with their children and give constant encouragement and support to them.

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, SHO – Seemapuri  Police Station, talked about safety of students in the school and at home.

The programme proceeded with the budding dancers of Pre-school presenting an ethereal and spirited invocation dance. The programme ended with the introduction of the class teachers and Nursery Syllabus, to the parents.
