WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHTING ‘LAW’ AS A CAREER

A lawful career guiding workshop was held at Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden on 22nd July, 2015 in the school premises with a motive to encourage pupils to opt for law as a career in their near future.

The workshop was a complete package of motivation, encouragement and knowledge, where students got to know more about different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, they can approach after their Class XII.  The workshop specially emphasized to spread detailed information about different / various career fields of Law, included best colleges, entrance exams, admission process, advantages of some colleges over others and more.  To enhance the sense of quality study, time management was also a worthy part of this workshop. 

The workshop was conducted by Mrs. Karuna Sama (Criminal Expert in Delhi High Court) and  Mr. Vimal Gupta counselor, both of them shared their experiences and showered some knowledge of current affairs.

The workshop proved to be a knowledgeable and learning experience for students, which certainly sharpened their perspective towards their future goal.

    G.K. QUIZ – PRIMARY WING

    Greenway School is always renowned for its extra-curricular activities which are held here time to time. No doubt, these activities are beneficial for the child’s over all development.

    Testing the students’ General Knowledge is one of these activities.  G.K. Quiz was conducted by the Primary Students during the assembly on 15th July, 2015. 

    It was an Inter-House Competition and it was a neck to neck competition between – Peace, Harmony,  Purity and Love Houses. Peace House bagged the first position.  Harmony and Love Houses bagged the second position. It ended successfully and was appreciated.

      As stories are source of knowledge and values and through these stories children learn how to face problems in day to day life.

      Story Narration with Prop Competition was held for Classes I & II on 13th and 14th July 2015.  Students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. They were judged on the basis of presentation, expression and clarity and the use of Props.  The programme was successfully accomplished.

        INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY – 21.06.2015
        Yoga is an invaluable gift. It embodies unity of mind and body thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well being. The declaration of this day came after the call for the adoption of 21st June as International Day of Yoga by Indian Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.   Greenway Modern School participated with great zeal and enthusiasm, near about 50 students of NCC Cadet performed various asanas, meditation and relaxation of body.  The duration of the programme was of 35 minutes, and the whole programme was done under one roof, with same coordination all over the country.  This was first ever world yoga day celebrated in 192 countries.  This kind of events not only brings togetherness, but creates a very deep understanding of the human mechanics not only of the physical dimension but of all aspects of human being.  It was a unique experience for the students and they learnt the art of togetherness and the unity of mind and body.
