It
is well said that Dancing is not more translation or abstraction from life, it
is life itself. Dance is the virtual
representation of tradition, culture and music of the people.
Zeal
and enthusiasm were holding their pinnacles when Greenwanians celebrated the 33rd
International Dance Day. The students of
Primary department presented themselves with their creative means in terms of
costumes, coordination, choreography, expressions and intricate movements. The competition promoted existing and young
talent and brought to the forefront the true form of art.
Harmony
house emerged as the winner and secured 1st Position. They presented classical dance and their
discerning steps along with their remarkable coordination rendered the audience
spell bound. The second position w as
bagged by Peace house. Their aesthetic
and energetic performance totally justified their centric theme of “Proud to be
an Indian”. Last but not the least, Love and Purity house attained their
position. Their talent and passion was
highly appreciated by everyone.
The
students from middle-wing came up with the spectacular and resplendent
performances. The podium was enlightened
with varied and fascinating dance forms like Freestyle, Latin Jazz, and
Robotics and classical. The rhythm and
the music of dance filled the ambience with great joy. The props used by the students highlighted
their performance in vibrant colours and it was a real delight to watch. The efforts of children and their splendid
performance were appreciated by everybody.
The
students from senior wing enthralled the audience not only by the synchronizing
moves but also by a special skit presenting the grave issue of exploitation of
the girl’s potentials in different stages of her life, by and in our
Society. This skit made the event more
auspicious.
Different
forms of dance like Salsa, Contemporary, Classical, Tap dance and many more
were exquisitely staged after every significant part of the skit.
This
all different amalgam of a joyous and serious issue certainly accomplished in
its work to encourage dance in pupil and to make them realize the importance of
girl’s potential and how our history following society is suppressing it.
The
programme culminated while leaving the amazement stricken audience in half –
encouragement and rest, realization.
